    Yes, tabulas 2 and 3 take up additional inventory room.

    Tabulas 2 and 3 have more black spaces and therefore hold less runes, which can only be a bad thing. You are correct that the only advantage to these tabulas is the elemental spots. Some runes, like your stillness rune, are colored. If you take a colored rune and place it on the matching elemental spot, it will throb with erection-like delight. This is called resonating a rune. Resonated runes have stronger or more consistent effects.

    For example, if you take stillness (which makes mobs blind in voucher 6) and resonate it, in theory the mobs should have an even smaller aggro range. I have been meaning to test this but never got around to it, plus I don't have or want to use a distancer so maybe someone else can test it better than I could.

    If you were to resonate 029 (Strength), it should cause the mobs to gain even more STR than usual. If you were doing voucher 5, then chaperix would have even more bonus STR than usual.

    One thing I do like about them is that each one has a separate "memory" so I can have my favorite voucher 6 setup on one tabula, voucher 5 setup on another, and an XP setup on another. I can run any of these without having to switch vouchers and place all the runes from scratch.

    If inventory space is precious to you, you can definitely live without these other tabulas.

    Good call on the having different voucher setups on different tabulas. For now I'll just stick to one since I don't have the marbles to waste on new tabulas yet anyway.

    I doubt I'll do the NM run any time soon, just trying to see what I can build up so far. I still need to get great warrior, and hopefully I get another job rune in one of my next few runs.

    Has anyone put any runes other than 102 on a V05 and noticed any effect?

    Between melee belts that can give Haste, and mage belts that can give Fast Cast and Magic Attack Bonus, there's some extreme potential here if we can figure out how to boost those stats up to the 3-5 range.

    From my experience with MMJ Earring, Tatzelwurm was our best shot at the earring drop that did not require fighting the tank unfriendly stillness Tanihwa. (Awful Eye sucks with a PLD)

    Tatzelwurm is an Eft using tiny warrior + stillness and uses the nightmare eft moveset. Used to run with Lizard + Tiny + L+F + WAR (any job works) + Might + Stillness though BLM rune might be even better since you can get alot of wasted time with T4 spells and can stun -ga. It's a pretty straightforward battle with a normal party setup overall.

    Tatzelwurm can drop Earring or MMJ Mantle but in our runs we saw far more earrings than mantles.

    To people who popped the wyvern. You recall what exactly you did? Did you do solo or duo, if so did you follow anything close to the routes posted above? At what point did you talk to Switchlox, etc?

    Duo, should have gone something like this (Viq can probably post to confirm or refute me later):

    Level to 7 in M1 (not full clear) while Viq clears R1
    Come back up, Viq takes him and changes him to Walloper, goes to the top and gets key quest
    I take him back and do L1 while Viq continues to clear R2 and R3
    Come back up, get ability/spell, Viq takes him and upgrades his weapon (not sure if it was once or twice)
    I take him back and do L2 and L3 while Viq clears M2
    Both went down into M3 and let him kill one group of spiders, I believe he was 58 or so by this point.

    At that point we decided to go finish the run and attempted to change him to Spellslinger. Viq couldn't do it due to Switchlox giving him some dialog about an "ultimate challenge" instead of the normal job-change choices. We weren't sure what this meant but thought that we had to finish off M3. When we went back down there, the wyvern was there. I'm quite sure that it wasn't there when we initially went down, so talking to Switchlox must have spawned it.

    I'd REALLY REALLY REALLY urge you to not do Great Warrior, Lizard, and Stillness unless you manaburning it cause we did with brd rdm whm blm pld drg and it was a god awful fight, we lost to it two times and managed to win once[though earring did drop], our group hence named him absolute bugard and decided never again on that set-up of runes. The Hate Reset, pretrify, AoE stun all suck, not to mention tusk can kill anyone easily w/o shadows.

    this ^, raptor or eft is much better option than the bugard.

    Anyone ever built a BLM pt maze? just looking for something a little different from Mount Zhayolm for keeping the buffer up.

    There's no runes that would give you flans or wamouracampa, or any of the mobs that BLM really has an advantage on, so I'm not sure how well it would work. I'm sure you could take a BLM party in, but it probably wouldn't be better than hanging out in Mount Zhayolm.

    No, but you've got me thinking about it. What types of enemies would be ideal? The "amorph" rune will not get you puddings, although it can cause slimes to appear.

    You could create something like a KRT bones party with higher-level bones, but then I was wondering if there is really anything specific about bones that make them good.

    One downside to MMMM (moblin maze monger manaburn) is that you will have to move camp at least a couple of times. For that reason I think 4xBLM, GHorn BRD, and COR would really shine.

    Friday nights on the more populated servers can be pretty ugly. If that is someone's main playtime and they always get camped over in zhayolm, MMMM might work out better.

    Tried this in a V01 right after I got 108. At first set 012 "elementals", with the idea that we'd just nuke the one and go on to the next, and be able to aspir. But then it seemed to make more sense to try with regular mobs, and just rounding them all up, sleepgaing and -ga3ing the group lol I can't recall how much exp we got doing that, except that I know I died at some point rounding them up (but that was just because it was our first try).

    If I were to try a manaburn again, I'd try something like that. Maybe try V02, even, with everyone sneak/invis on entry, hide in the corner, wait for the mobs to collect themselves in the center, sneak/invis again, creep up, and timed nuke? Would be fun to try anyway lol Might need to set 081 to make them reach the center faster (although I haven't used it yet in V02 to see exactly how much faster they are).

    Any updates on V05? I tried using rune 102 with it and the wyvern popped after talking to the job change gob. Killing it and talking to him again, he told me about the ultimate technique or something.

    Also, with 102 I noticed the vendor gob says something about getting an item from the starter gob, but when I talked to him I didn't get anything. I'll get the exact request next time I go through it.

    Also, anyone else notice how the fight against the weapons boss is glitched? Sometimes Chappy will just kill the first few weapons but then fail to see the last one until it moves like...3 minutes later?

    What level was Chaperix when you got the Ultimate Challenege message to pop the wyvern? Did you get a chat message from Switchlox about "Baricos"? Had you already done the vendor gob's first quest about getting an extra ??? when he told you to get an item from the starter gob?

    EDIT for more questions: Did you change Chaperix's job after finishing the wyvern quest? If not, did you see Chaperix use anything new that would be the "ultimate technique"? Finally, did you get anything extra on your belt by doing that quest? Maybe a 4th augment, or a non-base stat going over +2?

    Hey Jup ;x (Cyferis here)

    What he's requesting is for you to find the work order that the starter gob wrote, that the vendor gob lost. Once you activate the quest, a ??? pops up in the Left mazes, at the big room with 5 funguars in it (near the ??? for Left3). Click it and it pops a scorp, kill the scorp and a ??? will pop, click it you get the work order.

    As far as I can tell, the Ultimate Challenge message can be gotten around level 40. The mob that's popped depends on what job you have Chaperix at currently; Walloper is the Wyvern that pops in Middle whose name I forget, Spellslinger is Baricos, a Manticore who pops in Right, and presumably the ranged one will pop in Left. You don't need to have done the vendor quest; I did it without ever talking to the vendor once.

    Chaperix didn't do anything new that I know of even after completing that quest though.

    Additionally, in case anyone was wondering what the Spellslinger/Walloper/etc runes do, they let Chaperix switch to the job once he hits level 5 without requiring any of Right1's items, which is a nice way to save time if you're solo. I also finally got a Fast Cast belt... except it was on my 2box char's C.C. chest. <_< Only Fast Cast+1 as well.

    I was playing around a bit with my order, and wasted a lot of time tonight. I only got Chaperix to the mid-30's, but I still got the Baricos message. I didn't have time to fight him, and I'm glad I went straight for the boss. This is easily the best belt I've gotten so far.

    I'm curious about people doing item mazes, I've been using the same maze kind of copy/pasted and having 0 luck:
    Mob Type Rune
    TW/GW/Stillness/Motion as listed required on wiki
    Might
    Supreme Might
    Black Mage
    Divine Magic
    Lost&Found

    copypasted with different mob runes/stillness/motion/warriors.. haven't seen a single drop in the last 72 runs.. is there something wrong with that setup?

    Did same setup tonight, except no might, and also had enfeebling magic on it. Was first run for half the people so we didnt have many CC chests, we got 1 koggel, everything else no drop.
