Do we know what resonating does? Do particular runes have to be resonated? I ask because I'm almost positive I've seen accounts in this thread of runes not being resonated, and the getting the drop.
Although for some reassurance Thorny, my maze looks similar, and I've not seen a weapon drop from the beginning either. I've lost count how many tries we've had at this. I'll say it's just bad luck. Just be glad people still go with you to try.
Hey, has anyone fought the "secret" boss in the Chaperix Tabula? The Wyvern boss that shows up after you beat all 3 kill mob quests? I just did it and Switchalox or w/e said Chaperix learned some secret ability but he didn't use anything new in the boss fight.
Okay, I'm retarded and I read the last two pages. Still wonder what the secret move is.
Just for clarity, clearing M3 isn't a requirement to get the wyvern/manticore/whatever-the-third-one-is to pop. I got it yesterday when Chaperix was level 30, and hadn't cleared M2 yet. I also haven't seen anything special as a result of the fight, but I always swap his job to Spellsinger right after the wyvern in hopes of getting a fast cast augment. Maybe swapping jobs clears whatever benefit I would see from the wyvern.
The Npc does say that changing jobs kills all things learned on that job.
Got any links for proof? How does resonating a particular rune make the NM stronger or which gains special abilities from it?
I know Tanihwa changes to his nightmare set with the stillness rune added, but that's got nothing to do with resonating.
If you resonated say Great warrior, how exactly does this make the NM stronger? Hits harder? Attacks faster? Has stronger magic attacks? TP moves hit harder?
If resonating does have some effect, is it better to resonate say elemental or enhancing magic over say great warrior or stillness?
So far all I've seen about resonating runes, have been heresay. I've not seen any solid tests as yet.

Search elemental properties.
I've tried this. I recommend taking out Trial by Numbers; there's too many of them for Black Mages, who are a down time- heavy job anyway, even with Refresh.
I tried it with Elementals. The problem with it (as with MMM) is the lack of fine control over exactly what pops. You don't want something to pop that's going to resist gravity, bind, sleep silence, etc, but what can you do?
"Undead" might be a good way to go, but it wont' be KRT per se due to the randomness of what pops. Sure, you might get blunt-weak Skeles, but you might also get slashing-weak Hounds or Doomed Toads, or Ghosts even, the latter probably being the worst of them due to resistances. Ghosts are also bad due to AOE Curse, when MMM is inherently a roaming situation. Such a maze would also be problematic because only light based sleep will work, so an Rdm would not be able to help backup sleep.
I followed Wiki's setup verbatim, even during full moon with 6 C.C. (like either factor really matters, who knows?) and i haven't even seen a drop yet after countless attemps. Others going for Ermine's Tail didn't see their drops either. But after 56 pages of MMM findings, this comes as no surprise.
Thanks for that. I'm still a little worried whether their description is 100% accurate though.
We know that the first paragraph is not entirely true. Using Lost and Found allows a different set of runes to drop. It doesn't allow them all.I think what players most want to know is what affects the chances of different rewards appearing in the Treasure Box?
Fujito: The Rune you obtain from the Treasure Box is random, but actually, the type you get is determined by the Voucher you use. For example, Takeda worked on Voucher 01, so the rewards were his own choice. However, if you install Lost and Found (094), all Runes have an equal chance of appearing. Also, to get the most popular equipment, you have to choose, as most have already guessed, Voucher 07.
Takeda: Just like the different rules you can apply, we want each Voucher to have its own features.
Maze Tabula have square with elemental properties, but can you tell us exactly what effect these areas have?
Fujito: If you place a Rune on one of these squares that has a matching elemental property, then the effects of the Rune will be strengthened. For example, you use Voucher 07 and place a Darkness-type Rune onto a Darkness-type square. The monsters’ resistances to Darkness will be raised even further. Basically, it boosts their abilities, but there are other effects as well. Of course, the same Runes can have different effects for different Vouchers, and the effects of matching up elements can change.
Is there a point to buffing the monsters like this?
Fujito: If you make them stronger, it increases your reward. If you make them too strong though, you might not be able to defeat them…
However, I do see it being quite slim that they'd mistake the effect of buffing a monster, and from the description of adding the darkness element rune, it just seems to boost dark resistance, which is why I think I at least seem to see little effect.
So the question is, how is each rune affected by resonating and by how much does it increase drop rate. Although from some of the pics in this thread it may explain how some people have gone 1/1 on gear.

Tabula M01 has no elemental affinities.
I wonder if worms can even happen in V02. Would they stay in the corners? Pop in the center?
Someone in my LS asked me about a BLM setup after I posted about our MMM exp runs. I thought Elemental, Amorph, and Aquan could all be pretty decent options (and you have room for all 3, even if you leave in Trial by Numbers, which I guess isn't a good plan). If you take a BRD or COR (preferably both), you'd at least be able to sleep everything. I'm still talking about a party of BLMs, here. I guess for a solo BLM, V01? but then you could still easily get links.
I've been doing MMM for Koggle since a combo for it was discovered and my set had never even seen an item drop short of a rune and even that was rare. A week ago we changed our set up and we've gotten 4 sword drops since... We now use the 03 tabula with GW resonating on earth and elemental magic resonating on dark. Other runes are divine magic stillness(yes it's a bitch but we never saw a sword with out it, I'm not sure why) might lizard and L+F. I'm not sure what difference resonating actually makes on the mob, but i'm pretty damn sure IF you can resonate something do it.
I've worked my ass off to get this sword finally, I probably would have had it months ago if I just had this set up earlier. GL on your drop.
Ok so you used
GW (Resonating)
Elemental Magic (resonating)
Divine Magic
Lizard
Might
L + F
Stillness
= 4 swords!!!
---> Did you resonate stillness?
No job rune?
No Force of Will, etcc?
No Supreme Might?
Any CC?
What jobs did you use in your pt? just btw.
Has anyone gotten a sword post patch WITHOUT CC?
Has anyone gotten a sword drop with "Insurance Contract" in the maze? It's easier to get help if you tell people there's no exp loss.
