This is exactly why we ran eft, people wanted both items.
Coeurl ive been experimenting with and he's really easy since it doesnt use Blaster/Chaotic but in about 10 runs of it we've only seen 3 DRK swords and no Torques. Bunny on the other hand usually puts out on a nice day even though hes way more troublesome to deal with.
Viq, first off, thank you for all your help. We finally figured it out and got a groove going (took a bunch of fails though).
Basically my wife and I go in and split up the tasks. I go as BLM/WHM and she goes RDM/WHM. She starts Middle1, I do all three rights. After we both finish our first (Middle1 and Right1) we job change instantly to Spellslinger. After she finishes Middle1 she goes and does all three Lefts. After finishing Right3, I go to Middle2 and GA a group of the beetles just to finish em off. Then, we go up and pop Baricos. Chapstix (my little pet name for him) makes quick work of him and we then finish up levelling him to 60 in Middle3. We goto boss and finish it up. We did 2 earlier and we got a pretty fail belt with "MP+14 Magic Defense Bonus -2". But on the one where we had weapons bosses I got this, pretty win:

Gonna keep trying and see where this goes, this was only our 2nd Mage Belt.
Viq, I'd like to ask ya: Was that belt from the main chest, or the C.C. points one? I'm craving for a belt for my BLM similar to that, and am wondering if it would be worth my time doing it every day, or trying every 3 days with 6 points.
Cheers.
Also, thanks for the solo guide about Barrager to 60. That makes it SO easy!
My INT+3, MAB+2, MDB+2 belt was from the normal chest.
Just a thought regarding the "Ultimate Challenge":
Adding Rune 102 causes you to get a challenge if you try to job change more than once. You are unable to job change again until you complete this objective. This adds a small degree of difficulty to your MMM run.
By using Rune 102 you must either:
A) Complete the "ultimate challenge" objective OR
B) Restrict yourself to only 1 job change
Either way, Rune 102 adds a small amount of difficulty/inconvenience/time consumption
For winning with Rune 102 and therefore satisfying either condition A or B above, you are compensated with a few extra marbles.
Perhaps there is nothing more to it than that.
I know this is lame and disappointing, but it might be true as well.
102 also adds a quest from Vendastox to find a ??? in the left well, then kill the scorpion that pops. As far as I know, that's the only other thing 102 changes about the maze beside the "Ultimate Challenge" quests. I typically avoid the Vendastox quest, but I believe that you are unable to purchase anything from him until that quest in done. Buying extra items is entirely unnecessary, so I skip it.
@Maurauc: I had just 102 on that run. It wasn't a typical run, because I was playing around with the order of my wells at the time. Sadly, I don't remember exactly what I did that run other than starting in L1 instead of M1. I wasted a ton of time in that run, and as a result Chaperix was only 37 or 38 when I hit up the boss, which yielded a level 60 belt. I've seen the same stats independently on several level 75 belts, so I assume it's possible to get an identical belt with Chaperix at 60. It's just a matter of luck. As with all augmenting, it's extremely random.
EDIT: Oh, something I left out about 102. I had an idea once about possibly increasing the belt reward by clearing all three "Ultimate Challenge" quests in one run. After you do it once, you simply get the job change dialogue over and over.
How are people getting a Spellslinger to 60 solo, and still having enough time to beat weapons? I can either get him to like 45 and have 10 minutes for the boss, or get him to 50 something and have like 3 minutes, which is enough for behe or slimes, but not weapons. Considering I've literally been getting weapons 90% of the time (am I just unlucky or is there something that affects this?), I've lost several times. It's rather frustrating.
I could try dragging someone else with me if I have to, but part of why I've liked doing this is that it's a fun and simple thing to do by myself when nothing else is going on.
If you're doing it purely spellslinger, then I don't know if it's easily possible without getting perfect luck, and even then, you may need the exp rune.
An easier way, which Viq posted, is to change the goblin to Barrager, stock up on Gobbie Surprises, and let him bomb toss a group of mobs, and cure spam. 3 or 4 at a time will let him get 4-6 levels a bomb, and then when that slows down, move onto the next group. You then switch to the spellslinger when you're heading to the boss.
I've had an idea. Could this ultimate technique be what Chaperix uses with the Revitalizer? Maybe it allows you to get him to use that without it. Just a thought, in case anyone is willing to try. (I can tomorrow if we wish)
Chaperix will use the same abilities with Revitalizer regardless of rune 102, or the UC quests.
@Nerull: I think it was Gergall that pointed it out, but you can tell which boss you're going to face from the initial chat with Sons... whatever, the starter gob. If he says stuff about treasure underneath the cave, then you've got weapons and can plan to give yourself extra time for the boss, even if it means cutting off leveling earlier. I'm still testing it and building data, so I won't say this is 100% truth yet, but it appears that the closer Chaperix is to the end of a level tier (20, 40, 60) the more likely you are to get positive stats. For example, if you think you'll be short on time then it may be better to stop Chaperix at 38 or 39 and try for a level 60 belt than it would be to get him to 45 and get a level 75 belt. Again, small sample size, etc. so don't take that as gospel, but it does seem to be a trend.
Has anyone found out if it's possible to obtain more tracks for the soundtrack in MMM?
Everytime I've gotten Chap above 45, I've got a lvl 75 Belt.
This setup was pretty fun, and really easy to level him up with as a Walloper. Got him to 52 and had 5 mins for the boss.

So for anyone using coeurl for Gnole Torque -DO NOT- set Maze Rune 75 "Force of Will", it increases charged whiskers' dmg dramatically[ie went from 200 ish to 600~880], though some of increase maybe due to blm rune aswell I'm unsure, but I'd advise againist both of them together atleast it increase the tp move dmg alot.
Can L+F rune be set with voucher 05? Wondering if I should buy one. Would be nice to enable the job runes to drop (051-056).
You can't even set it in the tabula with V05.
Yeah, that's what I was asking. Lame.
It's a good rune to get, anyway. Could just buy it and mix in some V06s a couple times a week for a few more marbles and chance for job rune?
