Why did they have to make Haze and not Timesplitters 4? ;_; Sucks to see such a great developer go, Timesplitters 2 is still one of the greatest FPS ever made 6 years after it's release. I want to say I hope someone else picks up the license, but I don't think any company could do the series justice.

Same reason they still put out shitty movies. Once you sink a couple million into a project you kinda have to try to get some of that back.

I remember playing split screen Timesplitters 2 at my friends house, I don't remember anything being particularly unique about it, it felt like Goldeneye to me at the time but then again I wasn't really into FPS at the time and I was like 12 or 13 maybe?

And Goldeneye was one of the best FPS's ever made. Shame it aged terribly.

It was one of the few console shooters that had actual depth to the single player storyline. It was a crazy store line, but exciting one at any rate. The map maker was mind blowing at the time as well. I recreated countless maps from other shooters, including Goldeneye and even had some pretty awesome "Single" player maps as well.

The worst thing to happen to the series so far is the lack of backwards compatibility on the 360

Still hope on Timesplitters 4 or a spiritual Sequel, some guys from FRD are setting up Pumpkin Beach.

About 20 staff members were offered positions, possibly with Ellis' new venture, Pumpkin Beach, although this is yet to be confirmed. The rest of the employees were told in a separate room that they would be laid off.

Oh so the single player was where it was best, yeah a map maker is pretty nifty for that time period on a console. That's pretty impressive.

TS2 was awesome, was the first fps game I really ever played when I was maybe 12 years old. Getting a platinum trophy on the "Nice Threads" arcade mission was fucking mental, took me like a week of playing just that mission to get it.
