Hey~

Since I've gone to uni I've been unable to dual box. when trying to log in my 2nd character I get 'Error code: FFXI-3001. No response from the FF server. Connection timed out' as soon as the ***downloading data*** finishes to load the zone (I never actually see the zone, cuts off straight away). I then can't log in for a min or so as it says my character is already online, however I can see from my 1st char he never materialized.

I'd given up on dual boxing while at uni, but a few days ago I randomly decided to try again and managed to get both of them online, so it must somehow be possible :/ I can't think of anything different I did that time.

Does anyone have an answer for this? Is it FFXI side somehow blocking me or something to do with my Uni net?
