Building a PC for an MMO Part 2!

So assuming I dont need the OS/case or anything, anyone able to give me an updated list on what I can get with like $1000? Sorry, brother needs shit spelled out for him, so that would make it easiest.

Added a 2nd HD for Raid0. I haven't used this specific video card yet, but I actually have one on order to play with. Went with a modular power supply for easier cable management. Just clicked for some RAM, but it should be fine. Went with the Giga MB b/c it was about $30 cheaper. You're looking at $900 after rebates... through in shipping (taxes if applicable) and there ya go.

MMmm that's one sexy machine you've got in the works there. I'd say get the E8400, save $25 and overclock the thing to 3.16gHz (or more).

Cases.. so many to choose from, but really there's only a few good brands. Antec, Cooler Master, Thermaltake, NZXT are all great; or Lian Li if you're looking for super-luxury. I'm sure I'm leaving a couple good brands out. Just make sure the case doesn't come with a power supply - tho even if it does you can just replace it with the one you picked out.

And yea we need a sticky for this sorta thing.. I'll do it if I have time and no one else wants to.

I just checked my email and saw the same promo for the 4870 you mentioned - I even wrote a review on Newegg for it. That's a newer revision on the card I bought a couple weeks ago - that's a GREAT deal unless you specifically want a card w/ a gig of video memory.

Oh yah, and a couple people in the reviews noted that the UPC on the box doesn't match the MIR forms. I just did this rebate for myself and it was insanely detailed/complicated as if they try to trip you up, so keep that in mind.
