(it can be hit fine using Brutal and/or Ecphoria, depending whether you weaponskill with Skadi's Chausses or Enkidu's Subligar).

But if you say Fortitude Torque is definitely viable with sushi, then taking a 1.3 Acc hit there allows you to gain 3 Acc on Ecphoria -> Toreador's Ring (1.7 net gained), if you were weaponskilling with Enkidu's Subligar, for example.
I didn't say you would definitely have capped accuracy with Fort Torque. I said it was viable. Not being optimal doesn't exclude something from being viable.

ok i have a question about the Joytoy vs Kris

my main job is thief so im 8/8 dagger merits, also having cor, thf, and rng, at 75 i am 8/8 markmanship merits, i use corsair mainly for merits, and until recently i was shooting for tp onry (pimping my rng and corsair has left me nearly broke)

so what would be a better weapon for me to melee in? Joytoy without merits (240 skill), or M.Kris with merits (274 skill)

this is my current melee setup on corsair:
    (W. Turban) (Chiv Chain) (Suppanomimi) (Brutal)
    (Scorpion Harness)(Dusk Gloves)(Sniper) (Rajas)
    (Amemet+1) (Swift Belt) (Skadi's Chausses)(Skadi's Jambeaux)

also regarding Corsairs roll, i generally dont use it in exp because it limits me to 3 rolls instead of 4, ill use it if we are losing chains because we are killing to fast, but otherwise, Keeping chain > exp bonus for evryone else that i miss 1/3 of the time when i have 1 mage roll and 1 melee roll up lol

For someone with 8/8 Dagger because of reasons outside of COR, that can certainly be a reason to lean towards the MK. They have shown to contribute similar amounts of damage, though, and thus it's really up to personal preference.

Personally, I favor Joyeuse. A couple of the larger reasons are.. One, I feel the melee DoT: WS damage % ratio is more favorable with Joyeuse - you'll be weaponskilling more frequently with MK, and in terms of enmity control (and empty damage), that's a negative. My damage with Joyeuse is pretty much split 50:50; with MK, I remember seeing it somewhere around 25:75. Secondly, while admittedly much of dealing damage amounts to how much faster you can swing, I'd rather surrender 1.5x the TP of a normal weapon than the 2.0 MK will give (roughly; the figures are 1.45 and 1.9, respectively, I believe). I know this may not be of much consequence on merit mobs, but COR melee TP can be utilized throughout most of endgame as well.

Overall I just see the Joyeuse as contributing more helpful damage than the Mercurial Kris.

What are you using for your fourth roll, and why does your healer need it? Basically, they shouldn't need anything other than evoker's. 3 rolls is just fine. Chaos on melee, then xp roll on everyone, then evoker's on your healer. Rinse, repeat, etc.

They actually parse quite close to each other, overall, considering similar TP builds and proper combat merits. Iirc, M. kris will usually parse slightly higher than Joyeuse when you have fewer attack buffs/food, while Joyeuse will parse slightly higher when you have more attack buffs/food (with /NIN dual wielding M. Kris/Joyeuse usually parsing below a /RNG that single wields either, due to losing not only 22acc/racc, but also the inability to have 8/8 in all related combat merits).

    Any purpose for Skadi head?

No, not really for COR. The 4 AGI is useful for QD Acc, specifically Light/Dark Shot, assuming the AF Tricorne/+1 doesn't grant any QD Acc.. As well as Leaden Salute, though Ree's Headgear is probably preferred for Leaden. But there are other 4 AGI options, including that AF+1 Tricorne, Denali Bonnet, and even things like Cactuar Ribbon, rendering actually blowing 12 orichalcum ingots on the visor for COR a pretty shitty decision.

skadi head does add some dex and a good ammount of att as well as 3% haste, probly the only use i see with it is that you get +2acc, +6att, and if your 5/5 skadi your getting +5% crits at the cost of 2%haste (on turban) or 1% haste from denali, which might be benificial with the proper build

Skadi Body seems to me to be good for melee corsair, and legs/feet defiantly are, while the hands and visor seem to be so-so, i wouldnt fault someone for meleeing on corsair with full skadi

also im only 3 drops away from 5/5 skadi, and i have the visor, but currently its for my rng onry

personally on my corsair build im trying to include as much acc as i can, and then haste, followed by att, while meleeing at least, then for weaponskills i have just been going 100% racc so that my slugshots dont miss, i havnt unlocked detonater yet, which is unfortuneate, but 2-3 ls events a day is kinda hard on my schedule lol

If you gear properly elsewhere, the DEX/Att/Haste on Skadi's Visor for melee is crap, at least on COR (compare to Walahra Turban for Haste, or Optical Hat/Enkidu's Cap for Acc).

Skadi's Cuirie is better than 'good' for melee TP, it's the best piece in the game. Skadi's Jambeaux have largely been reduced to running gear, with the additions of AF+1 and relic. AF+1 taking their weaponskill hold, and Commodore taking their Acc TP place. Skadi's Bazubands are the premier gloves for both Detonator and QD/LS.

I would fault someone for using full Skadi for COR melee, or for COR anything. You'd be better off using either a Haste or Acc set.

comm bottes +1 definatly take the place of skadi, but NQ comm bottes only have a measly 1.5 acc over skadi's jambeaux, so even though skadi's isnt the most acc in the spot, its definatly not a gimp/confused/wtf moment either

and as far as skadi's curie for melee corsair, im kind of drawn in two directions here, Skadi's curie gives +10acc +5att and +8 dex (+4 more acc), while enkidu's harness gives +10 acc +10 att +5 str (+2.5 more att) and +5 subtle blow.

and i know the acc/att arguments, but when /rng you may see more benifit from more att then acc, at least on some mobs anyway

and as far as the visor... unless you can somehow justify meleeing in the hands too, full skadi just doesnt seem viable on any job that can use it

The only time I can see Enkidu's Harness being better than Skadi's Cuirie, is if that 10 Acc gets you to 95% Acc. Otherwise (which is the vast majority of the time), Skadi's Cuirie's Acc is the choice. The piece is also the best for ranged TP as well as Slug (and Det in some unusual all-Raac circumstance).

well also maybe if your using M Kris instead of Joytoy Enkidu may be more usefull

the only reason i dont use my M Kris on anything but thief (and only when soloing cause its fun to use) is stronger mobs, especially in Endgame take 0 dmg from it, 0 dmg = 0 tp, and that may as well have been a miss

Don't forget Enkidu's feet! I like the DEX and haste way more than the 5(or 7 with HQ) acc on the AF2 feet. :D

A better comparison of Enkidu's Leggings is to Dusk; I'd consider them Haste gear. Dusk Ledelsens +1 > Enkidu's Leggings > Dusk Ledelsens.

You should still have relic feet(+1) handy in case you ever need to sacrifice any haste for acc, as it's the highest acc/haste tradeoff you can get.

I would if I had them and also if I had swift belt(using lollife belt for now). I feel it's a fair trade. :D

I honestly don't use snake eye and fold as much as I'd imagine so the extra minute on rolls is pretty awesome.

I can still snake eye nearly once every roll cycle and I don't bust that much even with rolling very aggressively so I don't mind not having 5 min recasts on them. :D

I am thinking along the same lines, however wouldn't it make more sense for 5 winning streak, 5 fold, this coupled with max phantom roll merits would allow corsair to buff entire ally in a typical rotation.

This of course is assuming that you are splitting rolls, melee -> mage -> melee

    Roll 1, 50 seconds
    Roll 2, 1:40
    Roll 3: 2:30
    Roll 4: 3:20
    Roll 1: 4:10
    Roll 2: 5:00

But you could only do this once becuase by the time you were back to melee you would need fold to remove roll one to recast it. Even then you are looking at needing perfect timing and full fold merits to pull it off. Not to mention the fact that a single bust would mean 50 seconds of no rolls for a party.

Full winning streak merits, means that you could bust and even with the duration of the bust you would be able to keep all buffs up at all times w/o having to use fold. Snake eye would be useful for getting off of unlucky numbers but given the fact that you are doing so many rolls in a short period of time I don't see how it is more useful.

Changing a 10 to an 11 or getting off of one unlucky number doesn't seem to be worth running the risk of having a party down a roll for any span of time.

Why the phobia of having a roll down? Having no roll at all and having an unlucky roll aren't that much different most of the time. It's better to have 3 minutes of 9 chaos than 4 minutes of 8 chaos.

This. It's been discussed plenty of times before. Unless you dualbox a COR, 5/5 Winning Streak offers little benefit for the sacrifice you make in either Snake Eye or Fold merits.
