Some Corsair questions...

So has anyone testing Murderer w/ the earring yet? I got the set and have been toying around with it but I've only ever owned a Coffinmaker.

Also, /drg is really fun.

This. It's been discussed plenty of times before. Unless you dualbox a COR, 5/5 Winning Streak offers little benefit for the sacrifice you make in either Snake Eye or Fold merits.

Agreed but I didn't find myself waiting on Fold/Snake Eye timers when I was working on COR Group 2s so I decided to throw a few points in Winning Streak to see where it went. Even with 7 1/2 min on SE and 10 on Fold I don't find myself waiting on them. Worse comes to worse I use up my Random Deal(which I REALLY don't find myself using. Maybe I need to be even more aggressive?).

Murderer's bonuses render it pretty much a side-grade of Coffinmaker, making it rather useless. I don't know why you'd use Denali Bonnet over Walahra Turban on COR, 1% Haste for 3 Att is a poor tradeoff. Commodore Frac does have 8 Acc, but really at bare minimum you should be meleeing in the 10 Acc SH. Also, if you're going to /Drg, make sure you have a Wyvern Targe as well.

Well the Denali is fairly new, so I was testing it out, but its in my current lineup.
The wyvern shield is NEVER on the AH, and I'm far to lazy to do the BSNM.
Also I don't have many acc problems in AF2 body, I use to use P.Body, but the trade off for 2acc is minimal for my sex appeal ;3 My LS dose a lot of Dyna Tav too so hopefully I'll get some AF2+1.

The set bonus to Murderer did seem appealing though, 6att/ratt/str was pretty sexy on paper, but I guess I should switch over

I tried /drg once, was nice for TP. But WS-wise I wasn't too impressed. I missed Berserk. :'(

Only 2 guns you need for COR at 75, Corsair's Gun +1 for QD.... Martial Gun for everything else.

I guess if you want to pull, but if I'm gonna merit I'd much rather have a BRD pull to help out with the chains and let me use all this massive TP gear I've aquired.

It's harder to find a corsair's+1 than it is to make the gil for one.

On some servers, finding an HQ Corsair's is quite the rarity, as Kilhart mentions. You should at least have the NQ though; using a Coffinmaker when your only damage is through Quick Draw really just means you've found a second avenue to utilize an overused and inferior gun.

I actually have 100+3 Bonecraft and 56 Smithing, was planning on signing myself one once I got to 60 Smithing. But the last 4 levels are really sucking ass.

The 46 Smithing sub on wiki has a little verification needed tag attached to it, so I want to make sure I'm Tier 1 before I attempt it.

Yeah, the smithing sub not being verified sucks. I went through various 100+3 bonecrafters with 60 smithing sub and had a total of roughly 20 synths done before I just gave up and decided to look for one, since I wasn't even positive it was T1 (I could have just been unlucky, though). Spent a few months looking and finally convinced someone to give theirs up for 250k.

Good news is that all those NQ synths made me like Oprah for all my COR friends and LSmates that either didn't start working on their QD build yet or had just hit 75. "YOU get a corsair's gun. YOU get a corsair's gun..."

Someone from Pxt was selling someone a while ago, I'm kicking myself for not picking it up but I was saving gil for WAR gear.

I just went 0/31 today on Corsair's Gun +1. All of them signed. Gave a few out to friends that are COR's and gonna bazaar the rest on my mule.


I get the feeling before I sign my HQ my name is gonna be plastered all over every COR on my server. <_<;

Who? >.> No one on ffxiah.com shows up with 100 bone & 60 smithing on Cerberus.

It's a shame there aren't more CORs out there, the synth is about a 70-80k profit now on Cerberus... if more people wanted the Gun, more people would make it and there'd probably be more HQs floating around.
