Didn't know they took 'em out, though the only way to play terran is to mech it up as hard as you can.

Also, when can we expect to see a SC2 forum? :D

my main was terran at first but switched to protoss after i found out i'm way better playing offensively at early/mid-game. i always wanted to go back to terran but with new maps being more terrain-focused and terrans playing more and more economic/defensively i was like fuck this, and with sc2 shit looks hella tight and im so gonna rape shit up with my MECH BROS

and do ghosts still have their sniping ability? i embedded scanning frequently into my body so i honestly think i can pimp stuff up so bad with this ability lol

I think theres at least one other person on this forum who I saw mentioned he went to blizzcon so hopefully I'm not the only one here betaing it up.

But yeah after the really intermittent bits and pieces of news and new footage we are getting nowadays, beta is going to be sick. There are probably going to be soo many new videos and so much new information coming out, especially with the new battle.net as well. Can't wait!

    new duke nukem.

i really want to see more protoss action though, especially those new dark templars (the ones with the staves) and of course the new units, and hopefully some people can at least give small glimpses as to what's actually going to be available in the map editor

    http://www.battle.net/account/manage...ta-profile.xml

You'll need a Battle.net account, which you'll need anyway if you want Blizzcon 2009 tickets so get crackin'.

    YouTube - [HD] Starcraft 2 Battle Report #3! NEW 6-19-09 (Part 2 of 2)

Battle report #3 seems to have been leaked! A beautiful PvZ on another new map Scrap Yard. David Kim, undefeated from the first two videos against Matt Cooper, tries his Protoss skills against a different opponent, a Zerg player named Yeon Ho Lee.

I'm not going to give away the results yet, but there is one thing I will say about this match. In SC1, I always loved how there were a lot of abilities/units that felt overpowered from all three races, and together the game managed a pretty beautiful level of balance. Well, thats what I saw a lot of in this game. There are some ridiculously good abilities that are hard as hell to deal with if you aren't prepared, but both races have them and its really fun to watch.

I still have doubts as to the watchability of the game, but we'll see when beta starts, right? :3

It looked like the Forcefield is automatically being done by the game. It's setting up the 2 forcefields almost perfectly everytime and not even micro would set them up that smoothly and that quickly. Also, the mind control shit the zerg have and the moving while burrowed, god damn that's OP.

You clearly don't understand how hardcore/skillful these RTS players are then.

They are very good, but they are not top of the line RTS players by any means. David Kim though has consistently shown good micro in all the videos, so I wouldn't be surprised if he just knew how to handle those forcefields. In a way, its a lot like storm in SC1, its actually not that hard to aim on its own, the hard part is selecting the units and doing it mid battle instead of microing other units, or just keeping them alive to do so in the first place.

Yeah you have to see how quickly some of the current generation SC players can dump psi storms over a large area, its definitely possible to do that without automatic help. I hope that force field isn't targeted automatically and requires good micro to use effectively.

Think you guys doubting need to watch the video again, they are consistently set up perfectly adjacent to one another, he'd have to be microing each 1 and hitting at least 6 buttons within the span of the frame we see them both instantly appear. I've seen good control but that isn't real control, there is something going on there behind the scenes.

@Kisamoo, yeah go watch Bisu play and watch his storms, he doesn't drop them instantaneously one after the other like these forcefields are dropping. I am thinking the game automatically decides how to position them based on where you target and how many nullifiers you are selecting.

Just watch this and see how quickly both pop up and perfectly positioned, I don't care how awesome you think these developers are, they aren't on the level of top Korean SC players and even a top player couldn't drop them that fast, that pefectly. There's a limit, you can worship their skill all you want but it'd take a machine to perform the necessary clicks in that infinitesimally small about of time between the 1st field and 2nd field.
