Doesn't SC2 have smart casting?
Concievably, all he would need to do is select both units, the forcefield hotkey, and click twice the areas the shields need to go down. The two clicks could be done very quickly and accuratley.

god damn it, i've had enough watching them play, release the game already!!!!!!!
aren't there gonna be 3 games altogether? how hard is it to give us the first one already
@Maguspk I misunderstood you is all, thought you were saying something else.
Can we see a zerg win for once?
Or, they could realize the ridiculous standard of balance and design set by starcraft and in order to live up to that they need to spend as much time as possible on map construction and unit composition as possible. It's doubtful they're just adding units as they go along since the construction of said assets is ridiculously expensive from an art/balance POV.
And who would want to play SC2 if all it did was recycle units/strats from SC1?
edit: @BGtemp: Not necessarily. You are right that they aren't at the stage where all the abilities and what not are more or less set in stone, but generally speaking they aren't shooting for that, even during beta. They have given themselves a lot to work with and a lot of unit and ability options to interchange to find what works. They seem to be in a stage where they are getting pretty happy with most of what they have though now, so the "finetuning" or as fine as it can be will probably be around in beta pretty soon.
On that note, most signs are pointing towards a beta within the month if you aren't following the SC2 news much. The first indication was when Mike Morhaime said the beta was to be out this summer which does begin this Sunday (but is of course inclusive of a couple months) But there are a lot more signs pointing towards a pretty close release, possibly as soon as next week (though I'm not sure I'd put money on it). For one, certain VIP community members have already been sent their invitations to the beta with a deadline to set up their battle.net accounts by this week. Additionally, many community sites that were given beta keys have had to have their contest close times around now. From what I can tell, beta opt-ins have ended and at dreamhack Browder and Metzen seemed pretty excited and hinted at how soon it could be when responding to the question "when WON'T it be?" by saying, it wouldn't even be quarters away. My guess last month of June 22 may end up being right, but if its not, I'd still say its less than a month away.
also, @correction, Yeah they have already spent a very good amount of time on balance so far and have already budgeted for more than most people realize. Beta is one thing, but then there are going to be the countless patches and the fact that two new expansions will come along allowing them to even go as far as straight up adding and changing units if it will help the balance. When all the expansions are finally out and big patches done, I expect a very well balanced game.
They are looking to get a lot of progamers in on the beta to help balance things at the high end of the spectrum, and I hope that plan works out well.
jesus christ i cant take the cockteasing
i need this shit NOW
ps geno omfg did you see bisu vs jinho(dunno his ID, yellow?) my god i didnt know old skoolas still had it in'em like that
Yeah Yellow is pretty pimp. He's stepped up his game a bit since joining ACE, like GoRush and some others have. ACE is actually getting really fun to watch in proleague.
ACE has a horrible record in ace games though which is ironic. At least they're making it to ace games now.
theyve really been picking up after guys like anytime entered, if you think about it logically their lineup is what other teams would dream about lol
Still not gonna beat the BoxeR/Bisu! Glad Boxer is back. Wish he would get back into shape and actually get to play a little more. Reach has put out some interesting games lately, whenever he uses the "bulldog" tactic vs. Terran. Something tells me SC2 will not have the transfer of egamers.... kind of like how the pro's played CS over CS:S. Only time will tell, personally I like some of the new things they have added, intentional walls you can break down etc... but still find some aspects of the game more distracting than anything else.
That battle report was pretty neat. Makes me wish I didn't suck at RTS games lol. Is anything on SC2 expected to be announced at blizzcon?
im hoping for a release date, maybe a beta date though?
They had a fan/press site gathering on Monday and made them sign an NDA (which I think will last until next Monday?). I'm really confident that the beta will be within 1 month, and though it wasn't at the meeting this Monday, next week is I think very plausible for beta. Blizzcon is still almost 2 months away, by which point I think beta will definitely be out.
It would be nice to get a release date, but I really have no idea what will be the focus at Blizzcon. There will probably be some new D3 news, probably a lot more info there. Then there are those unrevealed titles they seem to always be working on. I'm anxious to see what will be the big news, if any, at Blizzcon.
