Alright, I just dl'd the wrath of lich trial, and rolled a DK.


I'm level 61 now, took me about 4-5 hours of gameplay to get there.

Now my question is, wtf why are dks so stupidly OP?

I have no downtime. The little mini-heals I get enable me to solo ridiculous well.
Elites 2-3 levels above me, with adds. I can solo about 5 - 6 mobs my level and end the fight full health, and no downtime. My pet is badass. (unholy spec). I've yet to run into one my level that I can't PvP the snot out of.

The only thing that came close was a lvl 65 shadow priest, but I managed to kill him in zombie form.


This levels out around 70+ right? It cant be easy cheesy the whole game?

The gear you start with is much better than other gear around that level.

They feel powerful leveling because they are good DD with self-healing aspects to them, along with several powerful CDs to use if there is trouble. Also leveling is easy. PvP they seem OP if you know what you're doing at all because most people do not know what they're doing while leveling (most don't even after level cap either).

DK is pretty OP until 80 where you start running in to other players with much better gear than you. I leveled from 55-80 in only a couple days as unholy spec because of how ridiculously easy it was. I love my DK she's the cutest.

I like unholy from a lvling aspect but will probably go blood again when I get it to 80.

expect that DK just like the old days warlock where they are op with any mobs that can be feared. But they just more OP than those locks lol.

I have been seeing DK soloing some 5man group quest in icecrown easily.

DK is a great class, but in pvp, they aren't OMGWTF, if you know how you can take out a DK 1 on 1, just can be a fucking bitch and a half sometimes involving tons of cooldowns.

Leveling is often that "easy cheesy" in WoW because leveling is merely a grind. They'd rather you spend your time on other things in the game than months and months taking a new class to the highest level.

I have been seeing DK soloing some 5man group quest in icecrown easily.

As a protection paladin I solo'd almost all group quests in Icecrown as well. The ones I couldn't manage were: The Vrykul guy right before unlocking the Battle at Valhalas (duo'd with an ele shaman) and then the BaV questline, the guy inside Andurthal that fears and MC's, but I also didn't even try to solo him and Bloodbane. The ones I did solo were: The guy inside the gate where the Pustulant Horrors pat around, all 3 Riders, obviously the Pust Horrors themselves (though that's only 3-man group) the Foreman guy inside the Saronite mine in the middle of the map and a few quests I'm completely forgetting about I'm sure.

It's no more op than leveling from 70-80 with full t6 etc, the gear dk's get is like on par with t2.5 (aq40) iirc, other than the weapon's dps.
