    That's probably why they wrote Lily out of last night's episode. And a couple of weeks ago in the episode where Marshall is coaching the basketball team, she wore loose blouses and almost always had something hiding her midsection. Except they screwed up in the end where she hugs Marshall, you can clearly see she was pregnant.

    (Also, Alyson gave birth last week, so it'll probably be a while before she's back regularly.)

    Does NPH even need to breathe?     Watching this episode has made me realize though that the whole premise of this show was supposedly the events of how Ted met his wife, yet it's been almost 4 seasons and this might not even supposedly be how he met his wife. Don't get me wrong though, I love the show but it still bugs me a bit.

    Haha, yeah. Well they have to stretch it out, and all these events leading up to how he met her were important in his life. That and as a dad, he knows how to make his kids sit through his stories.

    It's not Stella, but the way they've set it up, it's definitely going to be a friend of hers. My money is still on the random brunette Ted bumped into on the way up to the bar to put drinks on Garido's tab @ the St. Patrick's Day party. But it's already been established that Stella was at the party, the Mother was at the party, and the umbrella was brought to the party.

    It could be Stella, but given the message of tonight's episode, it's more likely that if all those little things hadn't happened, including Robin telling him to take one, Stella never would have seen Ted out with her friend's distinctive yellow umbrella.

    Well I do agree on the fact that it could be Stella's friend, but I dunno. Outside of Robin and what.. one other? We haven't seen many of Ted's ex's, so her showing up, especially near the end of the season could prove to be important between them.

    Or you could look at it another way; Sarah Chalke won't have much time to come to the show if Scrubs gets picked back up for another season (which it shouldn't), so it'd be hard to squeeze her into another season. I feel we'll find out about the mother with the wedding and what not, then a flashforward to the current Ted/Barney/Robin/Marshall/Lily, etc. That's my thoughts anyway.

    There's been evidence about something in Ted's room belonging to Stella so.. that's sort of odd. I honestly don't know where they are going with this; one of Stella's friends that Ted gets introduced to somehow, or her and Stella get back together after something not going right with Stella's ex.
