I can't be the only one playing this game...

So far, it's pretty reminiscent of PSO, hell even the dragon boss is almost a carbon copy of the one in it, but it seem to have the photon art system like PSU, all in all it's a pretty fun game. Gonna need action replay capable card if you plan on pirating it though.

I'd like to try it, but I don't have DS and I don't feel like forking over the money for a DS just for one game I'm not 100% sure on. I'm really interested in hearing thoughts on it though.

I was way into PSO for the gamecube back in the day, and I still play it now. Just offline only.

I think there is a good chance that it'll be localized outside of Japan. I mean they did Phantasy Star Portable and on a less popular handheld.

Buy a flash card, you can try all the DS game in the existence, there ought to be enough out of the existing 3900something to be worth your DS purchase >_>

Why can't they just make Phantasy Star 5? I liked their universe, and they could make something on par with the Final Fantasy and Star oceans out there.

I still play PSOBB on the hacked servers, but it's not enough to get me to pirate early.

I'm sure it'll be released in the states, and when it does, I'll pick it up instantly.

And I agree with Kaylia, they really need to make Phantasy Star 5. For as bad as the voice acting in PSU was, the story in the single player mode was actually pretty decent. If the actually put some time and effort into a true JRPG instead of all the multiplayer stuff I think they could make something amazing.

To be honest, I'm really just not very interested in handhelds as much as consoles. I acknowledge that there are some pretty good games out there for a handheld but I just never find myself using one as much as I would a console/computer. If it is very similar to PSO though it sounds tempting.

Fantastic game, I'm level sixty-something now and still having fun with it despite finishing the story/normal ages ago. It really did take the good from PSO and PSU and combine it into an awesome battle system. Only complaint is the limited amount of space to put shortcuts. 6 really isn't enough especially with not being able to cast techs from a quick menu. Should have been able to hit Select since it's unused and swap to a second set of shortcuts, would have been nice for the buffs and rarely used techs.

I hate how they nerfed the shit out of mags though, they're capped at 100, and the new system give 1:1 conversion for everything :/

Good if you're trying to make a hit mag, shit for about everything else since pow/mind boost on mag used to be 1:2

Any sign of unlocking Very Hard? I have 4 quests left on Hard mode and got nothing so far. I've done the tower on Normal and it took forever, so been putting off the Hard mode one again unless I have to do it. Dunno if you have to do them all, all levels in order or get it a certain level or what, kinda annoying being stuck when Falz is a joke now.

Japanese. If you ever played PSO you'll pick everything up extremely fast.

Yeah, beat tower, 101 floors, no super hard unlock

Guess you have to do all quests, which means another 101 floors of tower on normal.
