    Pretty much Tubbers summed up the pros and cons of each system. The easiest path is to choose a point system. Everyone knows its unfair but still agrees to follow it so there is not much discusion.
    However, another con I would add to point system is if you fuck it up eventually by having troubles to track points or losing the point count, you'll be sold ^^;

    My shell uses point system for instances such as dynamis, limbus, etc and /point system for everything else. Basically because we can not reliably mantain fairly updated points from random stuff where you can't track members all the time.

    Anyway, like others said, it won't be fair to everyone, ever. That simply doesn't exist. People have to trust on you, get over it and learn to don't be greedy.

    I don't really post much around here, but this topic caught my eye. I'm very interested in this sort of subject, as I have been running a small LS for about 9months now. And thusly, I will try to help you out; even thought I will most likely end up reiterating previously stated points that I hold dearest.

    Firstly, in terms of leadership, I find it easiest to do it all yourself, more or less. Take ideas from your members, but make the decisions yourself. Cut through all the tape and do what you think will benefit people the most. As long as your thought processes are logical, though inherently biased, people will respect the decisions you make; and usually abide by those decisions. Those that disagree can leave. No big loss, as they are most likely undevoted, or disinterested in what you have to offer.

    When it comes to events however, delegation is best. Over time, as my LS grew in size, I found it was impossible to keep everyone informed of what they should be doing during events. For this, you need people who take pride in how they play, and know exactly what they are doing; people willing to show others how to play for success. These delegates will prove invaluable in situations where you cannot possibly overlook everything going on at once. Such as today, we quadruple cleared all of the apollyon zones simultaneously with 20people. Its not the hardest thing in the world, but someone in each group will always need guidance, and you can't always be there. These delegates should not be getting special treatment.

    However, for events like dynamis or einherjar, where everyone sticks together; I like to be on a job where I can hang back and overlook everything that is going on. Brd and blm are ideal for this. As long as you keep shit asleep, you can just chill in back and yell at people when they fuck up. Basically, just oversee that everything is running efficiently.

    In terms of dividing loot, I recommend the use of points. As previously stated, no matter how godly you think you are, you must quantify everyone's efforts equally. Further, I divide all loot based on points. Jobs don't matter. Even on job-specific equipment(such as dynamis gear). Even if they have the job at 0, I still allow people to spend points if they so choose, and lot over people with the job at 75. We use points as the only deciding factor, and nothing else. I try not to complicate the rules at all, beyond that. If they put in the time, they can spend their time getting whatever they want. Additionally, I believe that people should not get gear simply because they are one of the few people in the LS with a particular job leveled, such as pup or sch. They must earn it, over everyone else willing to spend their time on those items.

    Also, don't forget to keep all the currency for yourself; to buy yourself cool shit. *'-' (Provided you are willing to cover all of the LS's costs out of your pocket)
