was just thinking that if he was just gonna shuri it to death it would be just as easy on ranger.

I figured I'd try the Happy Caster duo first, since a LS mate said it was "really hard" with 4 blms. Found it quite easy and wrote a quick little guide for our LS forums. I can imagine it'd be difficult with a pick up group of 3 additional idiots not knowing where 30' is and MPKing, but with a reliable friend it's cake. Here's the little guide I just whipped up for LS mates.
3k ISNM just like the puk one. Same chance at Khroma Ore:
Happy Caster - FFXIclopedia - a Wikia Gaming wiki
Original idea taken from this solo guide:
Amunaptra's LJ - xNM Guide - Part II (BLM solo)
First off, grab orders from the NPC, take the Halvung exit from lower bird camp, move from Halvung to Mt. Z (one way path), and when in Mt. Z run North, take an Eastern cave half way up the zone, and the zone isn't far down the alley. <-This isn't as bad as it sounds.
You can buff/RR/eat food outside the ISNM, you will enter with all your buffs.
Two-Face has a natural 50% dmg reduction from nukes and about 12k HPs, so your primary dmg will come from dot and drain.
Once you enter run down to two-faced flan. You can stand at about 21' and begin with an ES timed nuke, and one of you can immediately stun and then both move out of range. This stun probably isn't necessary, but since there's two of you, your cool down will definitely be gone by the time you get to the top of the hill. At this point the grind begins...
Once his initial cast is interrupt, or you ranged it at 30' and he finished casting you can run back in range and begin the dot process. Once your dot goes off stay within 20' so he starts to cast, otherwise he'll chase you up the hill and this is a waste of perfectly good terrain. Once he begins casting run back to 30'. When his body is "up" he is still casting, when he drops his body it is safe to run back in and apply the next dot, or drain/aspir. See pics below:

Once you get the hang of when to run in it's pretty simple. I was in charge of Bio II & Poison II and squishy handled the ele dots. However, most important are drain/aspir.
When we neared the top, I told squish to stun the next -ga while I ran by, after I made it by to about 15' I fired off a T3 nuke and then outran his next -ga III. At this point we went back to the grind of dot, drain, aspir. Very rarely he will bindga or sleepga so be careful of this, it seems he does this when you are close, but since these were our first 2 runs that could have just been a coincidence.
In summary it was quite an easy duo win, took about 20 minutes, but I figure with practice and stun/T3 cycles it can be done in 15. I'll give it a try solo sometime, but man it was boring duo lol.

btw yes, I killed it with my new spell Lens Flare
Think this would be soloable by a blu with cannonball(about 21' range)?
Happy Caster is soloable with rdm/drk
Just keep bio on him, kite him, use stun when needed or at ends of the battle field. Takes about 25 min.
In happy caster, since he seem to cast pretty often would it be best to sub nin if you're soloing on blm?
After watching that vid, it makes me think RNG/NIN should have no problem. I don't know if stun would work as RNG/DRK (I leveled drk to 37 and promptly never subbed it under anything), would that be more viable?
Also, do sleep/bloody/acid/poison bolts work? Or does he have some retarded resistance?
gaiters needed to do this at all or no?
BLM/NIN is useless, my NIN is only 12 w/o Ustsu but I'm pretty sure AoE spells strip shadows and damage you (pudding only casts AoE magic). BLM/RDM for fast cast, but BLM/SCH is best (makes battle much more faster).
The strategy is to not get hit at all...
not required but they'd help you out if you get carried away and get caster happy >_> sorry I had to lol
Dude AoE onry! <_<
Overall /nin is pretty useless for happy caster soloing cause you will be out of range on his spells anyway.

Sleep bolt didn't work, but only got to fire one. Gave up because I don't ever keep much of a buffer on my rng and didn't want to delevel.
This^
Probably only casts single target nukes if bindga or sleepga lands then, because I've never seen one either and I've done it like 10 times
That's what I figured ; ;
WTF you got it to cast sleepga and bindga... by chance do you happen to remember if you were generally close or near the mob at the time?
