Not that we're voting or anything, but the Milks thread gets my nod as the best thread of 2008. That was one of the very rare threads I stayed up late hitting the F5 key to see what happened.

Granted, now that I'm more than a year removed from actual FFXI play I haven't looked at those sections in ages so I can't say anything on that.

But the only reason that thread got so epic is because she actually had the gall to respond to our posts. I like to think of BG's regulars as a pretty savvy community, and reading her emotional Internet failings in the den of wolves was just awesome.

Best FFXI Thread - The 14-hour PW fight liveblog. No contest. That shit was fuckin' epic.

I agree, what other LS got on numerous gaming sites exposing one of SE's enormous flaws so thoroughly? And resulted in a fix from SE in no time after being exposed like that. Which in return resulted in an AV rape fest for a weekend. Best week of FFXI in my book.

All I remember from it is it cost FFXI 2 of its best players and a linkshell a lot if its drive and determination.

Too many died from that fight, too many good people lost because SE didnt know how to properly balance a monster.

Pretty sure I have just as many friends now as I did then, and let's face it you very recently swept all that Aikar shit under the rug too. It's funny how your morals change depending on whether the culprit is a friend of yours or not.
