Why is the Super Bowl back in Miami so soon too? Damn it was just there.

And I think I heard someone say that it will be played the week before the Superbowl.

Yeah, no one cares about anything after the Super Bowl, so now it's before and those who are playing in the Super Bowl aren't going to participate in the Pro Bowl.

Yeah, it will. It will be in 2010, but I wonder if that's the case every year too. I mean.. if they have another Detroit-like fiasco in a cold city, how would that work?

The hardcore football fan in me wants to see a Superbowl in Green Bay (or some other northern-region open roof field)

    but

The realist in me sees it being in domes/open roofed fields in mild climates forever and ever.

    Makes me sad.

Same thing with Cincinnati. It doesn't "cater" to media and shit.

yup week before super bowl to try to get people to actually watch it. of course the added bonus of the good players from the two super bowl teams not participating will be great.

I really wish we could have a super bowl like they show in nfl films with the snow and shiz would be cool

I could see a superbowl in green bay. A city of about 100,000 people seeing their population triple from the 200,000+ media, players, fans coming in. No, that city wouldn't completely collapse at all. I wonder how many hotels they have there...

yea you are exactly right. cities like green bay, buffalo, pittsburgh cannot handle what comes with the superbowl, regardless of their freezing ass open stadiums. i remember a bill simmons article about what a nightmare it was when the superbowl was held in jacksonville. some cities just dont have the infrastructure to host the superbowl

    This,

Which really fucking sucks. I hate seeing the 3-5 city rotation all the damn time. But knowing the awesome way the NFL tries to draw in more fans, they'll hold a Superbowl in some big stadium in Mexico City or something.

I would probably run towards the nearest living thing and kill it.

Edit: Headspace, get out of my, um, headspace. you bastard

Shamelessly posting this just to tweak you John Fox haters:

According to ESPN he's the #2 most important person in the playoffs this year!

    John Fox, coach, Carolina Panthers

Perhaps the best thing the Panthers have going for them in the playoffs is Fox. He's easy to overlook because he likes to fly under the radar. But Fox has a history of success in the postseason and is at his best in big games.

Fox went head-to-head with Bill Belichick before losing in the final seconds of Super Bowl XXXVIII after the 2003 season. His only other postseason loss was in the NFC Championship Game after the 2005 season in Seattle, after his team was worn out from previous road playoff victories against the Giants (a shutout) and the Bears.

Every time Fox has gotten his team to the postseason, the Panthers have reached at least the NFC Championship Game. They're going in with a better seed (and a bye) than both of Fox's two previous playoff teams.

This team might be even better than those two previous playoff teams because it truly is built in Fox's style -- running the ball consistently on offense and stopping the run on defense. With his kind of team finally in place, Fox might be able to coach the Panthers to go further than they've ever gone.

    Dammit!!!

We lost the SB to being CONSERVATIVE and because Kasay kicked it out of bounds with 40 seconds to go in the game. I mean there is no way Tom Brady, David Givens, Cory Dillion, Deion Branch etc.. can pick up 20 yards to set Vinatieri up for a FG. >.>

Get Shanahan! Hell ill take anyone over Fox to be honest.

Watch we will lose in the Playoffs because we will go up and we will sit on a lead. Kind of like how we almost blew it vs the Saints, like we almost did vs the Cards and again with Tampa and NY.

    I
