Alliance / Horde BGs performances

With the introduction of the new expansion, the 80 cap, the new BG and new hero class, what is your feeling or experiences about battlegrounds results on both Alliance or Horde side?
About a year ago while i was on my NE warrior, things were quite one sided but I was wondering if the new content and stuff could had brought some fresh air, to the point playing BGs allly side doesnt necessary mean insta-lose.

As Horde, post retri patch I lost quite a lot of BG due to the paladin invasion ally side, but after the first nerfs I didnt touch pvp much. AV is still quite random, like I lost about 50% of the matches, while AB is quite often a guaranteed win.

After the WotLK launch, Bloodlust Horde went to complete shit. We dominate AV, but that has a 30 min queue.

I'm pretty much done pugging BGs at this point and just queue AV and do LWG. I'll start hunting for premades when I have the time.

AV is 50% atm for me.
AB Horde almost always wins, 3:1 atm
Eye Horde almost always wins, I'm 18-8
Strand is 50/50
WSG I rarely do, but my current record is 8-10, but I only do this with friends so partial premades.

I xferred this character here right after hitting 70, so this is all pretty much wrath only bg's @lv80.

Burningblade and/or Vindication dont play an Ally.

Barely anyone uses this mod, and lets say only horde download it or something on some server, you'll have like a 900:1 ratio lol.

It shows the ratios per server, so you can figure if it's accurate or not, and since the general subject here is on BGs those are battlegroup wide info anyway, which makes it a larger seed pool of data.

So ymmv but it's still a decent tool

This sounds about right, although it seems like horde win strand more than that, and horde fucking dominates WSG beyond all comprehension.

EotS and AB are the ez honor farming for ally cuz we 4/5 cap before horde is full most of the time.

It still requires people to download and use the addon, so results are skewed. You are better off getting opinions from people directly like you already are.

Pretty much any bg I've gone into (on my DK before lv 70) has horde always winning by some large margin...

can't say that for lv 71+ though haha

Its like horde are good low lvl.. and progressively get worse ;/

On the EU server I played on, Horde would absolutely dominate every BG except AV, and even then Alliance would only win consistently through the night when Horde were just afk botting.

Well, my sample sizes are small, of course.

I still lose the majority of sota games because the horde doesn't have enough people on the beach at the start. That's mostly due to shitty matchmaking. I was GY camped in WSG yesterday when the match population was still 10-5 after two ally caps. They need to revamp their matchmaking system, because this is getting old.

I couldn't agree more. Long queue's (especially in the lower brackets) just to be out numbered is no fun. Combining servers into battlegroups was a step in the right direction. But in doing this it became rare you would meet and fight the same people again. There is no real infamy, unless you're are BGing in a twink bracket. If they are going to go this far as to make BGing anonymous like this, they should set up a system of checks where they can merge battlegroups when the queues are taking too long or the numbers are particularly lopsided.

I also feel they should set a system where you are given more protection upon ressing to fight GY camping. i.e. give people 5 seconds of immunity, at least until they break it with an action as opposed to just making them honorless targets. I find GY camping to be just about the most insulting and cheep type of play that can happen in BG's.

I haven't been doing many BGs lately, mostly just to get the holiday achievements. On Cyclone its common now for horde to not cap anything in AV in the 70 bracket. Granted we lost about 60% of the time before WotLK, but at least we got a few hundred honor points. Now, sometimes all the honor I get is what I gain from HKs.

Horde battlegroup for sargeras in AV is like 80% win now... instead of the 50/50 like it used to be.

All the "good" pvp'ers are coming outa the wood work for honor for the new season gear... its like pure domination thats just unbelievable for a pug of random people.

Had several games in a row that didn't lose any towers/or galv? (whatever that orc's name is) and claim every tower on the map and for that under 5min? achievement.

I'm on Llane (same battlegroup), and pretty much agree with your stats, except AV and WSG. My AV record HEAVILY favors Ally. I'd put them at about 75%-80% win ratio. And we (horde) win more WSG then your stats indicate (probably 60-75% of time horde win), but as you mentioned, you are in mini-premades.
