A one-time password system is where you need a different password to log in every time, thus, each password is only used one time. WoW's one-time password system involves a keychain fob that you buy from them for like $6 which generates a code that's necessary to log in along with your normal username and password. The codes are only good for like 5 minutes and the specific device you get is tied to your account, so it's pretty much impossible to log in without physical access to the device.

If I had to guess a 1 time password would be a password that you enter once Aside that though, probably something that you have to enter once and it stores it serverside and you'll probably be sent a pin or something that you have to enter whenever you reinstall/login somewhere else.

This is used on characters who surface on the RMT-PWNER's correlation chart who are thought to potentially become gil mules. They will be banned once they satisfy certain criteria.

Yeah, I read it as more of a way to delay banning until they're holding as much money as possible, rather than simply ban them as soon as they're confirmed to be RMT. In other words, it's a delayed ban for a character that is going to be banned regardless, rather than an automatic way to ban rich people.

if linkshells do payouts in million-gil increments to members i can surly see the STF thinking they are buying gil... in my experience they have never been very smart

Pretty sure they are seeing a lot more than you think.
They can tell if the gil is all going to members of a given linkshell which would make it a dead giveaway that it's a LS mule.

I seriously doubt you'd get your mule banned if there wasn't something shady going on.

i know of an ls bank mule thats been handing out 100m+ monthly now ever since sandworm/ixion update, not banned yet.

wasnt a new mule banned awhile back after it sold a pair of gaiters? also i recall reading in the crafting forum about people who have had their crafting mules suspended. it could all be bullshit as well though who knows
