well done enedin.... tell your bro i said hi^^
Hehe, I will. Who are you lol
^^ I meant to say to perform an action against the mob itself as that's how I see the term engaged, but sorry i wasn't clear :3
A bit off topic but :
I'm curious to know if any Dynamis LS tried to send one or more THF/BRD spamming Horde on every mob and if they saw any improvement in droprate.
From what i understood about TH, it should work.
When I did Dyna we did that. It should work therefore it works. Of course, you can still get horribly unlucky, and therefore people will claim it doesn't work because of that one Dynamis they tried it on and nothing dropped q_q.
As far as i understand TH, it does not stack , and the high tier will overwrite the other tiers,
The way i do it is with 2 TH4, 1 for stats, 1 for Melee, dont think aoe is necesary.
With AoE you make certain you get enmity on it. Other AoE spells risk stuff being unsleepable and therefore Horde's the best due to Sleepga costing MP a THF doesn't really have.
I think is a waste of time , if the thf lands 1 hit on the mob thats enough to triger TH , please correct me if im wrong,
AOE would be nice if u had only 1 TH4 on the other hand, this would be reliable to some extent, becouse brd Horde area of effect is kinda small compared to other aoes,
Otherwise just gymping a job,
IMO
Depends if it's a low man run or not.
I can't imagine a THF landing an hit on each mob of each wave, more particullary on stat ...
Is rather easy to land RA on stats , even for thf Xbow,
Do miss generate hate towards TH ? now this idk
There should be no need to have thieves sub brd or blm to aoe. If you have two thieves (Which shouldn't be a problem) then one can make sure that all statues get hit while the other can make sure that all mobs get hit. If one of the thieves is the one doing the pulling then it should be assumed he's going to be getting all the statues. If you only have one thief, then as long as he's not pulling it shouldn't be hard to tag the statues and then focus on the melee mobs. Worst case he'll only miss one mob per wave.
Yes, misses generate enmity. But still, 3 good melee all doing a WS...
The 2-THF system works fine, I guess.
Question then:
If you are fighting a mob and the THF dies, since they are "no longer on the hate list" does that mean their Treasure Hunter effect is no longer in effect on that mob?
Iirc some monk was talking about a group with a thf wiping to serket. Said monk then solo'd it and it still had gilfinder on. Assuming th works like gilfinder, it shouldn't matter if the thf died, but it'd take so long to test that it probably isn't worth the trouble.
I recall those effects being akin to a debuff (where the stronger one overwrites). I want to say it was in some interview but dont recall where.
So in theory they persist unless the mob depops (or possibly resets rage)
If it works like Gilfinder, THF can die, home point, change jobs, log off, cancel content ID, burn manuals and TH will stay on unless the mob goes idle and regenerates. Whether it needs to regenerate to 100% or just a tick or two like resetting CFH, I'm not sure.
