Sounds dorky but a sewing machine (actually pretty useful since we're moving house next month and I want to be able to run up curtains etc for the place instead of having to scrape together whatever we can afford from stores).

Opened that early because we spent Xmas proper with my fiance's family on an island off the top end of Scotland.

I still have some presents I have yet to receive, but here's what I got pretty much...

A Slow Cooker, and a cookbook with Slow Cooker recipes.
A book on financial investment.
A vacuum cleaner.
Candy.
Bed Sheets.
Towels.
Dish towels.
A fleece pullover.
Underwear.

Ever since I moved into my own place, my mom's been having a blast buying things for "around the house" - which is good, since I used to get a bunch of clothes I didn't need anyway. She still feels the need to buy me underwear at every opportunity though, even though I'm 26.

Also, she made a scrapbook of various "artworks" I made while I was in school. That was pretty cool. She pretty much saved everything. I was surprised she even had half of what was in there. Some of the stuff was over 20 years old. That kind of freaks me out too.

Also, I got some quality time with my 15 month old nephew. That kid kicks ass!

Of course, I also bought myself some "presents".

- "Band on the Run" by Wings, "McCartney II" by Paul McCartney, "Gordon" by Barenaked Ladies (scored it for $4.99)... I have a really random taste in music.

- External Speaker for my laptop and MP3 Player.
- Monty Python and the Holy Grail - because a friend moved away with my copy.
- New Jeans
- New Books

I am happy I got a PS3

I played the new Naruto game for a while and then got Metal Gear Solid 4 and played it for a bit.

Then I put in Persona 4, Playstation 2 game, and yeah it isn't compatible with my PS3. Talked to Welt and it seems that most of the newer PS3s are not PS2 compatible.

Does this mean I am going to have to buy a old PS2 or an used PS3 to be able to play PS2 games?

Sony no longer makes backwards compatible PS3's, that ended with the metal gear bundle released on June 12th, your going to hafta buy a PS2(cheaper option).

She didn't know she did. She was afraid to shoot it at first because it's a lot louder than the 9mm she normally shoots. Once I convinced her to shoot a few rounds, she just had this huge grin on her face... I found out what that meant when we got home, lol.
