Blockbuster always had little code books by the register. I brought a pen and wrote them on my hand.

So if you were the only person you knew that played the game, chances are you dont know everyone currently browsing BG played that game.
I looked up cartridge rarity and game sales before I contributed, but I know it's unrealistic to expect everyone else to do the same. However, the popularity of some of the games in here is painfully obvious.

Those educational games reminded me of this, though people probably played it:

Zoombinis fuck yeah, does anyone remember ever playing some other educational game, was a bunch of different puzzles through woods and stuff, first thing you did was fill up jars with some goo stuff and you had to fill them up to a certain amount to pass the level.

And nobody I've ever spoke to has heard of this, I remember picking it up for like £1-2 as some shitty budget PC game, but I remember having fun with it.

Also there was some other strategy game thing on the PS1 I remember playing alot, I can't remember the name for the life of me, I just remember someone getting pushed into a load of cement in the intro, if anyone remembers the name I would love you forever.

Edit: It's called Constructor, go figure!

I loved this game and I miss the charm and simplicity of those old Mecc educational games.

This is also one of my favorite SIM type games - it's like a Pinocchio story but with a boy robot instead of a puppet.

I remember that Constructor game, kind of fun but the "wacky British-ness" was laid on a bit thick.

It was also a great marketing campaign... The whole game was based on a dot off a soda bottle...

Beating it at 100% was so much fun.. and took SOOOOO long... Then along came this game...
    http://roms.zophar.net/images/psx-co...U%5D-front.jpg
The only bad thing about it was the fact that you couldnt beat it at 100% without first beating the first at 100% and saving game data to the same memory card you used to open your game on tomba 2.....
I loved these games! It was called Tombi over here but yeh so sad they stopped making them

Nope and nope. Gold Digger was an 8-bit game that was released on AOL's old pay-to-play download service.

I can even remember the theme song. I'm so shocked that it's literally nowhere to be found, they had a website and everything.

    Does anyone else remember this?

    http://www.gamesfirst.com/reviews/jf...t/TTPS2Box.jpg

Suddenly a few years ago a bunch of them showed up at Game stores inexplicably. I originally played it at some Chuck-E-Cheese type place as a kid. It is truly beyond description. The thing took place on a big round console with a covered screen where the "3-d" holograms were projected. It's all in live action made with two-bit costumes and cliche characters like cowboys and wizards.

    It's a massive 2 meg game.

Not sure if it's a well known cult-classic or anything, but it's a fun game. Basic problem solving/collecting game with 5-10 hours of gameplay. If you want to try it, the genesis rom looks great on a psp (game is called "Fantastic Dizzy").

I love how I'm looking through this list, and seeing all these games that I've actually played...

and then realizing that means I probably have played way too many video games in my life.

I'll post some as I think of them, about to go to bed, but I'll list a couple without pictures:

TMNT 3: The Manhattan Project on NES
Robotrek, SNES (you didn't really play this unless you beat it, thanks, awesome RPG)
    Magic Knight Rayearth, SNES (jRPG)

Almost any Game Gear game, but to name a few:
    Golden Axe RPG
Shining Force (yes, they made a GG one)

Beyond the Beyond, PSX (I put it in for 5 minutes, does that count?)

    etc etc
