Toshinden was played by many...it was like one of a handful of "A" rated games at U.S. launch (like that and Ridge Racer if I recall). I had it, and the second one. It was fun for the time, but certainly didn't make me want to leave 2D fighters behind (they're still better).

no one besides my bf and my circle of friends from hs ever played it (at of the people I've talked to about it) so I assumed not many had it considering it came out the first year the ps was out and most people my age were broke teenagers then. My bad :/


I still have the 2nd one I bought from funcoland for $4 as a joke. Man those characters moved slow as fuck but when that shit came out we all thought it was amazing. >.>;

I got that when it came out, but it was the first tactics-style rpg I'd played and I didn't care for it (the style) much, so I returned it.

Puzzle-oriented RPG. Had some moderately difficult ones, then some you'd probably slap yourself grueling over once you figured them out. I think in the latter, it may have been due to translation.

Kind of your typical Genesis platformer. Got a bit difficult near the end. Can't remember if I ever beat it.

Maybe I was too young at the time, but this game didn't strike me as easy. Don't think I ever got very far before getting my ass handed to me or just getting completely lost.

Pretty much any game for me as my brother and I are the only ones I know who play video games.

Holy fuck nostalgia rush.

I used to rent this game and play it with my dad when I was a kid. He would always get mad at me because half the time he took me to get a rental I'd either pick out this game or some Trolls (the little toy ones with the crazy hair) game that was also a sidescrolling beat 'em up.

I think I really enjoyed this RPG, but I got to the final boss and it just completely destroyed me... tried it a couple of times, and then just stopped caring so I never really beat it. =/

I remember reading reviews of this game and really wanting to play it, but by the time I got around to it, I couldn't find it anywhere.
