The one you put in before update should be intact. But yes, they got crazy level req. now >.<
Ah, yeah a guy in the Legion gave us warning beforehand to presocket everything you want :3
Didn't think to mention it here.
Good thing I socketed my Lv20 gear with them before. I have like 70 +12 crit stones now that I can't use for a long time. Lol
Could someone of a higher level use them for you (assuming you trust them) then hand the gear back?
If it isn't soulbind gear... but isn't everything halfway decent soulbind?
Don't most soulbind items only do that once you equip them? I know there's some things that do it on pickup but most of them that I ran into on beta could be traded prior to equipping them. So you'd just buy the item and the stones off the AH, give them to some dude, let him go to town, and return the item, then you equip it.
I'm honestly surprised though if they were going to level cap the stones they should just cap what level item it's going into and not on the level of the user, or alternatively, you can do the above but if you equip an item with them at too low of a level they don't take effect.
ah, yeah, I forgot that you can socket stones without equipping
nvm!
The +4 flight time manastone you get for completeing the lvl 25 quest in eltnen, can't be used until lvl 30, wtf.
lol^
Interesting, I was lv.18 and found I could use my Lv.20 Manastones, so maybe it's within a certian level range?
Caved and pre-purchased since talk of the open beta can give me a needed break from XI. 90% download to go. D:
Actually I had this weird feeling I was forgetting something and came back to some update info etc. The level on moonstone doesn't apply either to your character level or the level of the item. Each item should have info near sockets what level of moonstone can you use with it now:

Also according to powerwiki you can equip them like that:
Manastone level Item level
10 1-10
20 1-10
30 11-20
40 21-30
50 31+
That's not mine :< I use the patch I told you aboutThe pic is from powerwiki also, so I guess in english version the stuff appears correctly or something... anyway you have this small table to tell you if you can equip the stone or not.
J:\NCSoft\Launcher (Chinese ver.)\blahblah\bin32\AION.bin
Detection name: Artemis34767128BA94 (Trojan)
Process: c:\program files(x86)\steam\steamapps\common\aion\bin32\GameG uard.des
Process description: nProtect GameGuard Launcher

And I'm pretty sure the bin file got deleted....
(Capt. Kirk) McAfeeeeeeeeeeeee!!!!!!!!!!!
Anyone know how I can get around this? Do I have to completely reinstall C-Aion? Is the sky falling?
When I look for the 'File Location' of my Aion.bin shortcut (for GamePath) it says the file doesn't exist T.T
Just delete the GameGuard folder and reload the game. You should download GG again along with the des file. Of course, your AV will probably try to fuck you again if GG doesn't glitch out because you have one, either.
Hmm, I see. But it also deleted the Aion.bin file D:
Oh and now it just quarantined 3 more Aion-related files. I has a The Matrix![]()
lol E. My parents use McAfee on their laptops cuz comcast gives it to you, I fucking hate that software... There should probably be some exclusion list that you can tell McAfee to ignore the NCSoft folder. A full file check in the launcher (the bottom button) should get all your files fixed, but you'll need to move the files from the english patch since some of them are readonly to keep it from updating. You'll haveto reapply the english after I think.
Yea, McAfee fails. I think I lucked out tho, I figured out how to restore the files and i don't have to reinstall anything thankfully lol >< And yea, im definitely going to look up this exception list D:
Thanks for the advice.^^
