Dude, really. Play the game past 10. "Collection" turns into "Extract Vitality" and can be used from ascension till the end of the game.

Im pretty sure Every MMO out there is EXACTLY the same up to lv 10. All u can do is lv up. FFXI sucked til u hit 18 and got subjobs. Sure glad u didnt quit at lv 10 ehh ?

Changes to customer customization are cool but if they are added after you've created your character it seems a bit odd. Hopefully we get them right off the bat, NA.

Yeah

Tanks are pretty important, although only perform moderately in PvP from what I've seen.

It's so hard to tell though, the Chinese Region 2 servers are pretty much infested with ridiculous bots at this point. (Check out all the threads on aionsource's china section if you want more info )

Bots are fun though, drag a ton of mobs to them and let them get hit by glad's AoE. Its like the old days of CN :D

China is .2 behind Korea currently. However the beta going in Taiwan now is the same as Korea, and the CM ppl at NC have said NA will be closer to Korea than China is now. They are saying we should be 1.2 which is the same as Korea, but by the time it gets here Korea would have 1.3 at least on the test server I'd think.

It sounds like from this thread [ AionChosun PvP tournament - AionSource.com ] that templars are pretty beefy endgame. They could take out everything w/ ease pretty much until another templar showed up. Though the poster noted that the assassin was restricted from using stealth2 because apparently no one period can see them under that skill. Templars were buffed with moar dps since they couldn't keep hate with sin dps, so they are prolly something like pld+asskickery.

If you get the preview event code you can participate in all of them, but you can only play when they have something running; it's not like you could play consistently. You have limited flight areas, especially in the beginning. You can glide anywhere though, and like Pooky said, it takes a bit to get the feel for it, but it comes in pretty handy for getting around.

Templar's start out slow, but by the time you get into abyss they are pretty awesome and have a lot of CC/ect.. tools. Basically the game just isnt solo friendly like WoW has gotten ppl accustomed to. Yes, you can solo your way to 45/50, no you wont be able to go into abyss and stuff that way since a lot of progression stuff requires actually 5-6 ppl well balanced groups to do. Yeah you can do some group missions/quests w/o a tank, but nothing that requires a "boss" mob kill can be done that way (well maybe can earlier on, but elite mobs scale rather vastly in 25-30+ areas and can easily 2-3 shot a leather/cloth wearer - mail users may last another hit or two).

But while you can do a lot of the game solo, game is MUCH easier if you lv w/a friend and game pushes grouping a lot. After lv 25 you are gonna be grinding repeatables and elite (group) mobs for XP. Group grinding elite mobs is by far the best route since you can kill stuff faster then you would solo/duo while getting significantly better xp and drops. So game has its FFXI moments where you are gonna be making a well balanced PT to grind elite mobs for XP... ain't an "overall" faster way to lv then doing that when quests run dry.

But if NA/EU version is released w/ patch 1.2 then this may be a diff story since 1.2 boosts quest/mission xp by 50 or 100% (forgot w/).

I only lagged out towards the end on Sunday, and a few times I was heavily downloading torrents. As for assassin, yeah it's different from ffxi sneak attack. Not sure if it's planned this way, but you can circle the mob and before the AI adjusts itself, you can sneak attack it. I found it hard to circle the mob without the target being locked on like FF, so I normally just ran through the mob lol. It'd work half the time.

You can just use Counterattack to stun it to move behind with enough time to get into position for that sneak attack move.

I usually just use the dodging ability > counter > buff > sneak attack for some pretty damn decent dmg. ^^

I was able to actually just run around in circles and make it so i was able to sneak attack w/o issue a lot of the time <.<;
