actually gravity let us keep our beta-accounts when ragnarök online went gold![]()
Being able to bring people to the ground does not make Spiritmaster good in the air it simply makes them just that, good at bringing people to the ground.
However, if pets are really able to fly in 1.5 then it's a moot point and the class won't really be hurting anymore when it comes to aerial pvp combat.
If you are fighting someone in the air, and you force them to leave the air, you're essentially better than them in areal combat.
Pets cannot fly in any version of the game currently, up to and including v1.5.
In v1.2, ORB ( Example ) spells were given the ability to fly, not pets.
So I'm good at flying because I can jump higher than a bird. Do you see why you're wrong? The common factor is combat, SM is more in control of combat especially pertaining to the ground given their unique set of abilities, but by no stretch of the imagination does bringing someone to the ground make you superior to them in the air. That's some backward ass logic you got there.
Also, how sure are you because...
its in the patch notes for v1.1 that "Summoning" (Summon: Energy of Fire/Wind/Earth/Water) spells are castable in flight, nothing was said about Spirits (pets) being allowed to fly. This is common knowledge on the Aionsource SM boards, where several players that play on Korean servers (v1.2) have stated that fact from first hand experience. No information was given in the v1.5 notes that Pets would be given the ability to fly.
I really don't feel like arguing logic with you, I'm not in the mood for internet dickwaving.
Imo, SM in PvP is all about pressuring the opponent and controlling the fight in all of its aspects.
SM is just as in control of a fight in the air as the ground, if not BETTER due to Wing Root and Crash. Fear, Silence, Disarm, Root, Snare, Dots, Weaken Spirit, Orbs (as of v1.1) are ALL castable in air; these are the "bread and butter skills" of SM, which give it the ability to control the fight.
The only thing SM misses out on in the air (besides the gimp flight passive; MP regen is lol) is minimal DoT from the Pet's auto attack, a conditional stun, and the damage from commands (which do not scale with gear at all). Its still very capable in doing its job.
Is there PvP like 10vs10 or 20vs20? whats the max per team? or is it just 1vs1?
Atm it's only world pvp and the Abyss which is a single zone that everyone participates in at the same time. 1.5 has a battleground type deal that you can sign up for and I'm not sure how many people max go in that but it's probably at least 40v40.
For people who want to start in a legion where you will have people that can explain the game to you and that has aspirations for casual end-game play I can post the server my friends decide on when they do as well as the website for the legion. The four of them played FFXI and CAion and are RL friends.
It's retail if you bitch enough they'll do it. (cancel the order that is)
In the beta on Israphael or whatever it was, my guild was doing a bunch of 20v40 large scale pvp battles in asmodian lands.
RageQuit
Go there and select the Aion CB3 video. It was an awesome battle, wish I was there. QQ
RageQuit has quite the reputation from what I've seen, but I'm not referring to it's abilities in game.
Yea.. we are a bunch of egotistical people, we truly are, but we don't just talk we also perform~
All the carebears on AS are just constantly crying in our direction promising to create huge alliances with the sole purpose of killing us, it's hilarious tbh.
AS = FFXI's version of Alla.
1.5 (our release version) will have PvPvE grief consequences, but nothing enough to stop ppl from doing so. It will just be enough to make it so that you can be countered more easily by flagging you on the map for the opposite faction to see (as far as im aware, you don't get any debilitating effects outside being marked on the map for anybody to see). But if ppl actually think it will stop ppl from doing PvPvE griefing then they will be solely mistaken.
Yea, I know AS is AionAlla, but it's still funny watching them insult us and cry till they are red in the face when we make a small remark.
I never understood the point of "pvp(ve) consequences" in any game that is based around pvp at all, it's redundant.
Do the prices for a legion decrease at any time or in any patch so far?
I don't think it's a matter of being egotistical to be honest. I've been clicking around various threads today out of sheer boredom and no offense but you guys recruited some really fucktarded people. I saw the Goons are recruiting as well, I think they have you guys beat for the most retarded remarks I've read today though.
I did just stumble onto another RQ thread on Aionblah about how you guys are rolling Elyos instead now and that everyone else should stay Asmodian because you're so good you don't need help from anyone else. With a legion that boasts the member cap of 90 members, I guess I could see how it would be easy to be confident about "owning it up".
Hope you don't take what I'm saying personally! It is afterall just an opinion and not directed at you, just the impression I get from your legion.
Guilds with Ego's before launch = lol. 10 bucks they'll be a nobody trash guild.
I skimmed through the Goons recruitment post just for laughs and wow. You have to pay to get in and they have an RMT company farming gold for them so they don't have to? Am i reading this right?
Honestly, we only say that to get a rise out of people and to make sure we have competition we've done that for every game we've ever played and so far it has worked, as you can tell by that thread and the one on AS where people are "promising to roll asmodian just to kill us".
