I guess I have to hope my local gamestop has some collector's editions i can still preorder.
The wings, hat and ring will only be replaced anyway.

Can't get the CE, period, unless maybe from the aion store or steam. All physical store's stopped taking pre-orders over a month ago. And the wings are the single best item from the CE, you won't replace those until way later, and even then its gonna be 10m to get the +60 seconds wings

Naa even if no one else has one you can always walk into walmart at midnight and pick one up. They don't do pre-orders for games and always have them in stock on release.


Not to mention there is a Fry's near me where I think I can still pick up a WoW collector's edition. I know for a fact they -STILL- have more burning crusade and lich king collector's editions in stock. Those things sold out everywhere else months before the game came out.

But meh.. I'll walk over to gamestop tomorrow and check that out first. I have a -serious- aversion to pre-ordering games online. Every time a new game is released all I see is people QQing about not getting them in time and having problems with their orders. I think for Conan people weren't even getting their pre-orders 10 days after the game came out!

Wasn't there a thread where people were saying that you got like 150k for a grey item at high level? Money is so overinflated in this game in my opinion. So is experience gain though, but I guess it's easier to code in a straight cutoff of exp and have each level of monster give a flat amount and just make the levels ridiculously high in exp needed than to write an algorithm to have exp from a mob lower after each level you gain to not have to have 50 million exp per level. (I think I worded this terribly, but it's early for me)

Damn, I had pre-ordered a regular non CE copy during CBT5 before I knew about the wings

I only put down $5 at Gamestop, wonder if I could just let it come and not pick it up and pre-order the CE (don't care about the figure or CD)

I did that Ty, you can buy the CE off NCsoft.com. Gamestop lets you transfer the $5 onto something else too, if you had another game preorder in mind.

I'm not worried about the $5, just more worried about the whole can't cancel a pre-order thing it says on the EB site. Also, is there a problem switching pre-order codes in the account management thing? I've not dealt with NCsoft much other than when I played CoV for 2 or 3 months.

hmm steam's collector's edition is 10 bucks cheaper than retail stores also. That'll probably win out.

Oh you still get the early access codes with steam's order right? Where you get to play like 2-3 days early? I'm guessing that's what "Access to beta and preview events " means.

Money is easy to get, but things are also expensive. CAion isn't a good judge of stuff since its gold farmer territory, and when you can buy like 4-5m kinah for 5-6$ everything in sight will be over inflated to ridiculous levels. But in general things are expensive. Crafting is expensive later on (even w/ gathering your own stuff), buying / farming manastones is expensive, deaths are really expensive lol. Anyway you look at it, 10mil will be a lot to spend on new wings when you factor all your other in game expenses. And you can't go back and farm low lv "drop" mobs for items since once your 7 lvs, or higher, above a monb they no longer give loot drops unless you have somebody in your PT who is w/in the 1-6+ lv range of the mob (and only they can loot the stuff)

Steam CE is the same thing they have on NCSoft's store, it's $10 less than the one in retail stores because it's digitally distributed and has no physical copy.

There is no difference between buying the CE from NCSoft or from Steam. You get the same preorder/CE items and access to the one closed beta left.

yea hoping they do something about the constant gold farmer spam. It's absolutely ridiculous when playing. You have to turn off every chat channel to get any peace

Most likely be the same / similar in NA/EU retail. BUt a lot of spam is just from ppl using every channel to spam item sales, quests, ect... only channel I always keep open is the regional one lol since it's usually the one most cleared of trash talk and everyone is spamming world-wide trade / general

Anyone familiar with EB such that I can just let the pre-order come in and not pick it up even though I received the pre-order item? Don't care about the $5; also don't mean to spam just genuinely curious before I go for the CE and end up with 2 copies of it.

I wanted to cancel my Gamestop preorder, but like 2 months after I ordered they disabled canceling preorders, so now I cant cancel mine. If I foguht hard enough I'm sure I could since I preordered before that went into effect but meh.

btw, theres no such thing as cutting off preorder cancels, they can always cancel it, they're just being douches.

also if you don't pick up the $5 just stays there, it doesnt go away and you dont have to pay for the game you dont pick up

Knew there were EB people on here, thanks for the info, I'll just pre-order the CE when I get home from work. I'll cry myself to sleep about the $5

yep EB still has 5$ of mine that I used to reserve burning crusade. I reserved a copy next to my school, but a gamestop close to me had a midnight release so I went and reserved it there. Never picked up my 5$ again.

BTW yea, NCSoft is now allowing people to upgrade to CE. The requirement listed on their site was that you had the SE and an NCSoft account.

I just did it and in my account history it shows the purchase as 'Perk' and I got the receipt and serial code in my email - but, when I check the status of my account it still says 'Standard' and ditto for game type.

Whats with ranger, to start with it really does seem poor, how does it progress with level & when does it get some decent form of burst for leveling? im interested in the class but low level performance and survivability seems poor, is it worth sticking with?
