    ATI Catalyst 8.10

I recently set up a new PC, with a Radeon 4830. The install disc came with Catalyst 8.10 (not 8.1, btw). Now I've heard there were some issues with Catalyst 8.9 drivers in FFXI, but how are the new(er) drivers since that one? Are there any issues with 8.10 (or higher) when playing FFXI?

Actually I do have a question about this too /hijack. I recently got a new card in the raedon 4800's and it's running catalyst 8.12 (up to date so far). For some reason when I try to dual box, my windows start to not load character/monster/npc models (or like people will run around with half a face, a pair of legs, a weapon) and it starts lagging really bad until at some point pol will just crash one of the windows and the other one will return to normal. Now my old card, before it blew up, could dualbox fine so I'm assuming it's the new card's problem.

    Any ideas? <_>

Your graphics card is defective. If it is still under warranty, return it. If not enjoy paying for a new one ^^

The same thing used to happen to mine. After I RMAd it, it was fine. After I stressed the card to a certain point, it would just give up. Try running a stress test on it and see what happens.
