Well I've watched all the episodes. But now I'm finding out there are certain (3 different orders) of episodes which were aired differently?

Just to make sure, is this the correct order to watch the episode's?

watch it in DVD release order first, it makes sense. Then watch it in chronological order afterwards.

Alright, the way the wiki has it setup is a little confusing.

Basically, Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya Parts 1-6 are the first 6 episodes and the main story

The rest of the episodes are really just filler and little character building.

Episode 00, actually takes place as the episode after The Island arc.

I agree, they have it setup that way for a reason, If you watch it in chronological order then it's kind of disappointing ending on the rainy episode. Not that it's a bad episode or anything but the series is meant to be ended on Episode 7. And you're supposed to have the filler episodes in between the main story for character building.

And it's also kind of a test, the way the first episode is episode 11. Because it's like, the weirdest/ most random episode. And if you can't stand that episode, then the rest of the series isn't for you either.

Is the best way to watch it

Most anime endings fall a little flat to me, so I'm glad they put the "climax" at the end and the "end" in the middleish.

Someday in the rain is an anime exclusive episode though, that's more of a slice of life take on the series.

Hell, I still don't know where it places on the novel timeline, I guess it's after the festival arc but before the second year beginning or the vacations.

God...the volume 9 is in the fucking limbo...should've been out early this year, I wanted to know who the new member for SOS dan...

It's confirmed, it's just that Kyoani's been busy with doing other project like Clannad and Lucky Star OVA

I think it's confirmed that it's gonna be based off the 4th novel, The Dissapearance of Suzumiya Haruhi.

Probably one of my favorite arc, since it revolves HEAVILY on nagato~

But yeah, I spend the past 2 years or so bitching over why they haven't released new season of haruhi, aers can attest to this.
