I always hated the show after the male narrator took over.
It was a generally a nice watch if there was nothing else on.

Hmm... I've only seen the episodes with the male narrator. Maybe he's the problem. I'd honestly watch discovery channel 90% of the time I watch TV if that show wasn't on every damn time I turn on the TV.

Mythbusters, Deadliest Catch, Prototype This, and Man v. Wild I watch all the time.

Cash Cab I can only deal with so much, Time Warp is pretty cool, and How It's Made is crap.

EDIT: Plus, Bear wouldn't even have a show if it wasn't for Les Stroud since he came up with Man vs. Wild.

Bear would die in under 3 days if he tried half that shit without his camera crew. Having a urine fetish and failing to pole vault across rivers works fine when you wrap up filming for the day and go sleep at the Mariot, but it's not "survival"

Bear grillis is showing you how to survive in the wild, he puts himself in the situation and shows you how to get out. How the fuck can you justify that by having a camera crew it makes him less hardcore? They do nothing to help him, occasionaly he might say hold this, but shit cmon. When I see Les carry a snake around his neck, beat its head on a rock when he is hungry, cut the head off and chow down on raw snake, come talk to me. When I see Les create knots out of vines and dangle himself 100 yards above jagged rocks, come talk to me. When I see Les not fail at catching prey, just take tips from bear who grabs fish out of water and bites their spines with guts spewing out. Please, Les is the definition of an above average camper. Half the time he ends up going without food for days, whereas bear always feasts.

I honestly don't give a fuck tbh both of them are great and both shows are fun to watch but Les Stroud gets the nod when he rocks the fuck out on his harmonica.
