Saw the trailer at the previews of Salvation, and it looks like a very interesting (to say the least) film:

Either link has the trailer, first link is the official site. Immediately after the narrator got his first sentence through, I was hooked on the film. It looks like a mixture of Pixar (in terms of developed story, hopefully) and littlebigplanet (although I've never played, I couldn't help but be reminded of the little sackboys).

Anyone else had their fancy tickled by the preview?

Yeah, I saw the trailer with another movie (forgot which, had a good chain of movies coming out on Fridays), and the one with Salvation. I'm definitely going to see it. The "Welcome Home" song goes awesome with it as well in both trailers. It seems like an alternate story if those puppets existed during The Matrix, with the machines taking over and all.

Jut got back from seeing it. It was good, but not amazing. Probably a 7.5ish out of 10.
Couple major gripes:

It was hard to feel sympathy for 9 since his fuckup is what caused everything to go to shit.
Also the whole talisman thing/scientist splitting his soul was a bit on the confusing side. Maybe just not explained well, but as a plot device felt weak at least imo.

Just got home from it. Adding to what Qalbert said, story is about a 7ish/10. Animation, and visuals are superb tho; absolutely gorgeous. Definitely gives a vibe of a post-apocalyptic world.

Also, amazing action sequences and creature design.

It was a little hard to feel for 9 considering he did inadvertently kill 2, who saved him. But JESUS CHRIST when 9 pushed 1 into admitting that he sent 2 out on purpose to die I was so fucking angry. I really liked 2
