I camped VE for a few days a couple of years ago. I was the only one camping for a while one day and killed only the placeholders. Then some dbags came in and held one of the placeholders for about 5 minutes. Then they held another placeholder. I sent them a tell and told them to kill the mobs. They gave me the silent treatment, so I sent, "/tell dbag Help Desk. Can I have it? GM?" They killed the mobs they were holding, VE popped about 15 minutes later, I got the claim and the drop. I did all kinds of /smile, /joy, /hurray and shit all over them and left. I hope those bastards were fuming.

I've done that, but standing there with it claimed was stupid.

Smart way to do it grab the PH mob, run across the entire zone, and go afk with it. After having someone decide to show up and start killing every mob making using the simple PH strat difficult, I'll just leave with the PH (VE or lizzy) and go afk somewhere else in the zone far far away. If I got GMed though, I'd totally deserve it so I can't exactly think your friend has any reason to be upset. It's part of taking the risk of being a dick.

Last time I've ever bothered doing it was camping LL. I took lizzy's PH to the lighthouse and went afk for about 18 hours. Came back, killed it, walked back, and popped first respawn. That taught that prick BST to just start killing all the lizards.

People are lucky I'm not a GM. Its assholes like this that think what they do doesn't effect anyone else in game. I would have suspended the prick. Gm's need to clean trash like this up and start making examples of people. Then just maybe people will think twice about doing dumbass shit like this
