Meh, I'm still a Favre fan.
BUT with that said, that doesnt mean I want him playing next season. He's done, and I hope, as a fan of his, he realizes that before he makes it worse.

Here's the thing about this: there's a really good chance it doesn't happen. Go back and look at the AZ game vs. MN - they had Adrian Peterson shut down for the vast majority of the 1st half. He had only 27 yards on 8 carries iirc until he busted a long run with about 1:30 left in the half. But by that time they had given up a punt return for a TD, an interception + a fumble to setup very short Vikings' TD drives. They were down 28 in a heartbeat, and the 2nd half was trying to play catchup and the defense was on the field way too much. It was a similar situation of failed special teams/field position in Philly & NE for them. I'm not saying they won't do the same damn thing again...but if they take care of the ball and the game is close or their ahead, the Michael Turner advantage goes out the window and you're relying on a rookie QB. Matt Ryan may be capable of handling it, but there's no way I'd lay money on this game. Now betting against Tavaris Jackson...
I'll be at the game, and I fully expect the Falcons to win...but writing AZ off is very foolish.
legitimate cardinals fan pop? NOWAY
I never wrote them off. The beauty of the NFL is that big upsets can happen any week. But the Falcons have the second best rushing attack in the league, and I think they will be able to get that going this coming game. Both teams have a good chance at winning but I have the scale tipped in Atlanta's favor. AZ's Rush defense isn't horrible, but it isn't the Ravens D either. Either way, controlling the clock with the rush is what will win this game for the falcons.
The sting of a 6-10 season is so much easier to bear when the salve of Brett Favre comeuppance is rubbed all over it.
I so hope the cardinals win. Falcons cannot win.
That is one city that will not have a Superbowl title even 100 years from now... they just don't play real football in Arizona.
At least they can sell out a playoff game, more than some cities can say lol.
Like Seattle!
Well deserved.
Atlanta Falcons @ Arizona Cardinals - I think I am slightly insane on this pick, but there are just too many little things that make me feel Arizona is going to pull an upset off. First home playoff game for Arizona in forever (have they even had one?), plus a rookie QB in his first playoff game and he is away. I like Matt Ryan a lot, and I know Turner is a beast, but I just don't see that panning out. Cards can put up a lot of points fast through the air and a running game won't be enough to catch up and on that point it'll be time for Ryan to step up.
Indianapolis Colts @ San Diego Chargers - Chargers making the playoffs alone just boggles the mind. They have found ways to lose all season. Indy is going to have a field day in this one.
Baltimore Ravens @ Miami Dolphins - Miami is going to give Baltimore a huge run for their money, but I can't see them getting past Baltimore's defense.
Philadelphia Eagles @ Minnesota Vikings - This one I've gone back and forth on. Eagles are flying high, but that is after beating the crap out of a Cowboys team that didn't even show up to play. Which Philly team is going to show up? The one that beat the crap out of the Cowboys or the team that couldn't score a TD against Washington and tied the Bengals? Minnesota has a good defense and I think they'll give the Eagles and McNabb fits all day long. Adrian Peterson is going to be the key in this game because I can't see Jackson having much success against the blitz-happy Eagles defense if the ground game is halted. If Peterson goes off, Eagles won't have a chance and I'm going to put my money on his legs rather than an Eagles team that just confuses me.
And for Cowboys lulz: www.firejasongarrett.com
This wild card weekend is nutty, I'm so glad I'm not into sports gambling lol.
Peterson got hosed for MVP.
Wait nevermind, I forgot that QB is the only position that counts in popularity contests.
Peterson easily led all starting RBs in fumbles. Since the winning streak started, I think manning has thrown like 3 INTs? 5 or 6 weeks ago I would have said someone else, but what he and that team has done over the past 9 weeks is absolutely absurd.
