Maybe I'm jumping the gun a bit here, but it appears that SE has switched from Christmas to New Year's events, with a bunch of BST looking NPCs running around various zones.

Anyone got any information yet?

There's a NPC in Ru'Lude Gardens near the fountain, a little Mithra girl, selling Buffalo related items, suck as Milk, Cream Puffs, Cheese Sandwich (lol), and other stuff. Also, a furnishing, Buffalo Milk Case.

Also, my brother's mule got the 3 Snowmen from last year from the event buffalo NPC's wandering around, dunno if he traded anything to it or not.

Recently, thanks to the help of everyone, the buffalos that escaped were rounded up and safely returned to the BBQ Ranch. However, the real danger to the ranch’s continuing operations came after that.

In just one day, a single buffalo eats a mountain’s worth of dried hay as well as…
2 bags of Rye
40 San d’Orian Carrots
30 Frost Turnips
30 La Theine Cabbages
20 Millioncorns
20 bunches of Batagreens
12 Popotos
10 bunches of Pamamas
6 Bone chips
3 Faerie apples
and that’s not all! You get the idea that buffalos eat a lot.

However, it’s too late to be worrying about it now.
In order to satisfy the bottomless stomaches of the buffalo… no… to keep the buffalo from becoming restless and escaping once again, the staff of the BBQ Ranch are greeting the new year while working to their limits and they find themselves in a bit of a pickle!

In the midst of bitter cold winds, the ranch hands are standing in the streets passing out samples of milk and dairy products. Adventurers, if you see one of them, think of it as a good omen and find it in your heart to readily accept the goods from them.

This year will certainly be filled with blessings for everyone.

It would have been nice if they mailed them out on the 24-25th. Getting them now would be odd.

Just as I have a stack of milk and meat on the AH, the price comes crashing down thanks to this. -.- 100g per milk, 1k something for meat.

Well, maybe with any luck, people will stockpile the cheap stuff and the hide price will rise as people stop farming buffalo.


Off to find a new farming spot.

I got a Lycopodium cap in W.Saruta... tried trading it to the 3 ranchers and the buffalo in the area, the taru in port windurst, and even the mithra in ru'lude gardens...

Not really sure what to do with the thing... it's not a usable item, it's r.ex, and... its not equipment... wth do i do with it?

You get all three caps, and then trade them to the mithra girl for a furnishing that changes what items she sells to you.

i even traded one to the girl to see if thats it but nope did all 3 too and it gave me the milk case after i already bought one
