So I just read on the other wiki that the New Year's Gift item can be in one of nine different languages. The only language other than English that I know is Spanish, and I was quite surprised to read "Feliz Ano Nuevo!"

Is it actually like this in-game? I'd hope an error like this is just a mistake on the wiki... For those that don't know, the correct text should be "Feliz Año Nuevo!"

Bought a bunch of buffalo meat for 15,360 a stack and put em up for 17k since so many on the AH, price still going 49k on my server so lets see if they sell before everyone on my server finds out

Makes soloing really easy if you ahve 1 r/e item. You can trade it endless times and you get soem sweet buffs...

also after trading R/e item 6 times, I then got all 4 snowmen and the new years gift in a row when I started trading normal items...

I think possibly you can only get milk or cap when the NPCable value of what you've traded them exceeds a certain amount. After getting snowmen (had forgotten to take these out of NPC) i traded a bunch of cookies and bretzels with nothing, then I tried trading 20 at once and got milk > new years gift > new years gift before I ran out of stuff. Back in town resupplying and going to try that again for chance of caps.

To anyone who got the cap, did you get it from the buffalo or the ranchers? I am wondering if that list of items on the description page is there for a reason.

It seems random, I got a Lycopodium Cap in W Sarutabaruta by trading a Rarab Tail to a Rancher and a friend got one by trading a 2leaf Mandra-leaf to a Rancher.
I can't seem to get a New Years Voucher no matter what I do, cause the quest in port Windy from last year is there. The one where u bring a Taru-kid a Voucher and get some sort of club which equipped lets you do the Airship quest that gives you an awesome painting for your mog house.
Sigh I really want that painting >.<

I traded approx. 150 of the cheaper ninja tools before getting all 3 snowmen and a new year's item, but didn't get any of the caps.

Sadly it seems random but seems like the ranchers in W.Ron don't have it....my b/f and I tired for like an hour plus trying to the Battledore for our chars and just gave up....sad thing is on my first char I tired in W.Surta and got on the 3rd try.....
