New Year's Event

I had my battledore from previous years, but I wanted the furnishings.

Bought the Milk case no problem... then i prepared for what I thought was going to be an arduous experience in trading ranchers for snowmen...

Went 3/6 trading wind crystals lol.

I gave up after trading countless ammo/food/ninja tools for no New Years Gift. Really want the furniture.

Traded 3 arrows, got 3 snowmen.

Then traded a ton of gear/arrows/crystals and got nothing.

As soon as I traded enough items that I would have made 1k selling to vendor, I got the first bottlecap...
I didn't care about bottlecaps and kept trading trying to get the New Year's Gift. After another 1k in items, it tried to give me another bottlecap. So I thought I was on to something.

But then I tried the same strategy in gustaberg and got nothing after 2k+ worth of items, so I think it was just coincidence...



Tried removing christmas furniture from my MH since a friend got the new year's gift right away and doesn't have that furniture... that doesn't seem to have any effect.

Tried trading zone specific drops like mandragora buds, yagudo feathers, quadav shells... no New Year's Gift.

Tried trading at 20:00, 0:00, 4:00... nothing.

Tried drinking the milk they sell, then trading... nothing.



I wish we could figure this out... It's REALLY getting on my nerves.

Why the fuck cant I get my New Years Gift.... i tried trading 5 stacks of arrows, a stack of tav tacos, a stack of distilled water, and some other shit and the guy gave me absolutely nothing. 2x now ive gotten the message you cant obtain the korrigan cap but they Still take my items. Spam trading rare/ex items doesnt give me anything. What in holy hell should I do..... I want the spire and i'm considering suicide lol.... so much for events that noobs can do.

New years event has always been like that.

Out of all the events this is my least favourite one, I got the snowmen on my first 3 trades and on 5th trade a Lycopodium cap. After that nothing, no matter what I tried nothing lol. I really wanted a New Years Voucher for a Battledore so I could get that Painting, was actually the only item from the event I really wanted. I may also just buy the Milk Case, getting the caps seems impossible. :/

This event is rather frustrating. It seems like the snowmen from last year and the Milk Case (assuming you have 5k) are the easier things to get, but the New years gift to get the Battledore is nearly impossible. Between 3 different characters I've traded 7 stacks of 99 arrows, 4 stacks of 99 cookies, some misc. crap that I had laying around. Finally I bought a bunch of Uleguerand Milk from the NPC in RuLude Gardens (about 7 stacks of the stuff) and traded those into the ranchers on one of my characters and got the New Years gift finally.... I still want to get one on my other character though...

OMG Marihoki ty so much... after so much time and money, spent 9k on 12 stacks of milk from the mithra in ru'lude and that did it. Battledore! time to get my spire =D

Got the three snowmen and the lyco cap in the first 5-10 trades.

Than I traded a stack of shihei, 5 stacks of that milk, stack of antidotes, stack of ginger cookies, tons of crap that drops in west sarutabaruta, and some other meds/ninja tools, and got nothing. Was switching between all three ranchers.

Maybe having the Lyco Cap allows you to Lyco warp without trading flowers?

I wanted to make 7 milk cases for my mog by trading caps, since they aren't rare, then I realized it's probably cheaper to buy them off from npc.

Yes, I got the cap. Stoped doing the event then later tried for the gift...maybe you can't get all of them all at once...Idk but I remember getting snowmen, zoned did something else, found out about the caps and went and got them, zoned did something else, and then went and tried for the gift got it on my 3rd try....or maybe my Elvaan has a 4 leaf clover up her ass.
