Steal in Dynamis

Does anybody know if they removed the ability to steal items in Dynamis? Several THFs I've talked with have not been able to steal items in Dynamis(Aura-Steal still works). One tried on every mob tonight and got nothing.

When I clicked on this thread I so expected to see someone like a whm roll a 936 on a shadowmantle and everyone telling him to pass but didn't with following /drama.

But otherwise I don't see SE just disabling the ability to steal currency out of the blue, its on a 5 minute cooldown and fails a lot.

I too was wondering this. Past 5 city runs I've gone on I didn't get a coin till last 10 minutes of the last run. pretty sad considering all the +steal items I use.

Which zone was this in and which mobs was it you were trying to steal from? I've never successfully stolen from anything in Xarcabard, any CoP zones, or the Hydra Corps mobs in the glacier. All the city zones, along with all the city mobs in Beaucedine, should be steal-able. I would swear that you can even steal from the bosses in city zones, because I have it in my head I got a Bronzepiece off of the Sandy one, but there's no screenie to prove this and it would have been like two-three years ago.

Stealing is a pretty random thing though, yeah. I have a fairly nice Steal set with +13 with no latent ring or Rabbit Charm. I've had runs with this setup where I've gotten one steal over an entire run, and before I had all of that I had my personal best run which was 8 bills in Sandy. It's all pretty random and I really can't say one way or another if the stuff even does anything, but since I've got it all I figure I may as well use it.

I will tell you this with 100% certainty and confidence... I've gone into dyna with my best steal gear (more than +10) and ended up with NOTHING... In fact I haven't stolen anything in Dyna, not even buffs which I'm supposed to be able to take with Aura Steal...

I have a theory that steal is all INT based but I've never tried using all my steal gear +INT rings or anything like that... I wish I could steal currency again, last time I did it was about 6 months ago where I stole 1 byne bill.
