In the end, when this is fixed people will go about their business like nothing happened..so I see no reason people wasting energy complaining lol. Isn't comcast well known to have issues with POL/FFXI?

When are people going to learn that the ITR has reported Asia/Japan as being down for the past 10 years?

But that's the point, it's not just comcast.

But..the people on comcast acting like it's never had issues before..which is also the point that they shouldn't instantly blame SE when it's well known Comcast has issues with POL/FFXI.

Ontop of that people seem to instantly dismiss the earthquakes, which caused issues before as well.

I'm on Comcast and rarely have problems with it...however....every or twice a month Comcast goes stupid on me on wont let me log onto PoL/FFXI but I can get on the internet just fine using the pc.

Forgot to add the connection problems I always have for a week after a major update to FFXI so don't get to upset for R0's during that week.

Yeah, its not accurate but neither is blaming comcast for what's going on today and yesterday when people in other countries have the same problem....

Actually, when people from comcast complain they can't connect and they know their service has a known history of issues with FFXI/POL, you can pretty much say they can't always blame SE..why ignore the fact if you're on comcast that could likely be the issue? People eliminate possibilities too quickly. People in other countries already have shoddy service when connecting to services outside of their country..that's just a fact..not to say it's always "OMFG HORRID"..but it's just the fact the route a lot of foreign ISPs take to reach Japan tend to make their services bad for you.

Was able to get on for about 20min before having the same shit happen again.

Mule can still stay on fine.

This is retarded and clearly not ISP-related, if one character works and the other doesn't then how could it be?

Same issue, ISP is Comcast.

the issue with "blaming comcast" is that its a huge bandwagon that people jump on whenever their internet isn't working perfectly, regardless of what other factors might be contributing to the problem. when this happens, comcast all of a sudden becomes the worst isp ever and is so not worth the money and so much headache and blah blah. if it's really that horrible put away the box of tissues and switch your service.

if this is a problem with comcast, then i'm sure it'll be resolved soon, yeah it sucks but I'm not going to cancel my service or cry a river.

Windstream ISP, I was having this issue a few nights ago. In Upper Jeuno, /search failed, then suddenly got booted and had difficulty progressing through logon. Wasn't able to get all the way on until the next morning. Happened to a friend's mule (Different ISP) in the same zone shortly before me, and apparently a bazaar mule that I was heading to buy something from a minute or two before that.

It sure seemed like a ddos attack was happening, but only happened to a handful of people. Clearly something on Square's end, but I don't have a clue what.
