    Calling BG Medical

    Ok, here we go.

I took a shot to the junk while having sex with my ex about 1.5-2 weeks ago (accident, don't ask). Compounded that by taking an even rougher shot to the junk while skydiving a few days later. Dick was swollen for a few days and hurt like hell and I started to notice symptoms typically aligned with a urinary tract infection that I simply wrote off as derivatives of getting the shit kicked out of my dick twice in a few days. Now, the swelling's gone, and I'm pretty fucking sure I have a UTI. Problem is, I have no primary care provider (no physician I routinely see), and don't really know where to go to get antibiotics. I'm concerned that I've let it go untreated for too long as I've written off symptoms for a good week plus now. Suggestions?

get to the doctor before your dick falls off, not something to mess with. You're going to make it worse for yourself by waiting.

That was my question. Where the fuck do I go to. The emergency room? They'll kick my ass out.

Every time someone posts something like this on the forums I say the same thing.

I doubt you'll find any certified medical doctors here on BG forums. Don't try to self-diagnose shit and go see a frickin' doctor.

    Hope you feel better.

FFS I'm not looking for a diagnoses I'm looking for directions. I am aware that BG cannot diagnose me or prescribe me with treatment. I'm asking for advice on where to go because I don't have a primary care provider.

I'm from canada so pardon the ignorance but don't you have walk-in clinics (non-emergency)? and if not, go barge down some doors in the emergency ward or w/e

otherwise call walgreens and ask the pharmacist if he knows a doc accepting patients, they're bound to know more than we do

Yeah you can go to the emergency room, they won't kick you out they will definitely know what to do. It might cost you an arm and a leg though without insurance but you probably have some form of insurance. I don't have a primary care physician either, but when I had an ear infection and stuff I just went to the ER and they handled it fairly well.

You don't know for sure if it's a UTI

I don't see why they'd kick you out of an emergency room. I went in to the ER for an AC separation once. It hurt but not really an emergency per say. If it's crowded they'll just put a priority on the more serious cases.

just go to your nearest hospital. iirc UTI is what brings most men to the hospital (who are otherwise more sluggish to go to the hospital that women, who, ironically, get UTI's and wait to see if it is something else lol)

tell them what you think you have, why you think you have it, and why you waited so long They'll probably take samples to find out what it is (bacterial/viral/fungal) and prescribe accordingly, depending on personal allergies and their general response to the issue (some hospitals like to use certain drugs over.)

I'm not a doctor, but I'm starting my 3rd semester of nursing school at the end of the month. I had a male patient with a UTI and he was only IN the hospital because he needed a certain kind of IV put in to make giving him his antibiotics easier (he was mentally retarded) while they moved him to a care facility. Its not as serious as people are making it sound, but you probably need to go get prescribed something soon >_> When the symptoms change into something else is when you should be worried, but iirc that takes longer~

    Doesn't your college have a walk-in clinic?

Edit: Now that I think about it, the walk in clinic on campus might not be open during winter break. I'd say go to ER (if you have insurance). It's more expensive, but this sounds like it deserves immediate attention. But if the walk in clinic on campus happens to be open, that may be a quick way to get a diagnoses, and they could direct you as to where to go for treatment (or possibly treat it themselves depending on what it is).

Join the military and get full coverage for just about anything. I'm pretty grateful for it when I see stuff like this in the general public. Aren't there free clinics around your neighborhood?

Just go to urgent care. They're a step down from a full blown hospitals but still have doctors and the like. It's where i go when it's not life threatening. If you search around on yellowpages.com youll find them eventually.

Find a health clinic to go to. Most are staffed with nurse practitioners and physician's assistants now. In general, you won't need an appointment to get in. You will have to urinate in a cup, so make sure you are well hydrated.

I've had a UTI before, and I know how bad it sucks.

USA or Canada, either way. If you go to a hospital they must treat you regardless of whether your homeless or can't afford to pay the bill in full at the current time. Get that shit checked out asap.

edit: and for the love of god, don't attempt to fap. srsly.

    CORRECT.

And if you're out of tussin, put some water in the old tussin bottle, shake it up, and get more tussin.

Rather than going to the emergency room which can be very costly and does not really cater to that problem go to an urgent care facility. They are like emergency rooms for minor shit like broken bones and crap that is not life threatening. They also cost less to and will probably be able to refer you to a good general practitioner for later on.
