Internet Phone?

Was looking to see if anyone new of a link to a free internet phone service?

Downloadable or not, doesn't matter.

Oh and free landline calling would be nice..

i've never used it but they constantly tell me how i should switch and save, its 10 or 20/year afaik? if it is as good as they say that is pretty cheap

dunno if this is relevant anymore but i work at a Radioshack and we sell them, they are 39.99 for the unit here and that includes the first year of service which is any calls anywhere US and canada. You can register your number in any zip code in the US and you can also take it anywhere including international and keep your number and call back to the US/Canada at no charge. A month before your year is up you'll get an email asking if you want to renew and it's 20 for the next year. Alot of people around here are getting them and ditching their home phones cus it's amazing how cheap it is. I believe they are working on being able to port your numbers from land lines over but that isn't available yet as far as I know.

I've heard so many bad things about MagicJack. Ranging from static-covered incoming phone calls, to disconnects upon disconnects. Also they seem to have some "fine-print" that after a year you have to pay the full price or something I was told from a neighbor.
