Yeah, I'm kind of mad at myself...skinning just wasn't doing much for me in the months leading up to LK (certainly not like I could get just from dailies and stopping to herb everything I found between quests), and seeing some of the alchemy stuff coming out of beta I decided to switch to alchemy...now that I see heavy borean leather, arctic fur, nerubian chitin prices I'm like /wrist

Arctic furs are about all that sell, at least on my server. Borean leather has nosedived from 20g ~10 days ago to 7g now.

Lower level leather is about 10-20g on my server, with rugged being at 40g+. Wish it was like this when I leveled my rogue lol.

Well I'm kind of hesitant to drop Skinning now because I have it up to level 265ish. Granted it's nowhere near as difficult to level that up than say blacksmithing, but it's still time spent.

I downloaded that, and use that. Works wonders instead of toggling, cause I am bad with that as well >_<
thanks for the tip, thatll be very helpful. might go that way since there's an addon to help out.

To Ishido, atm I have 400 Enchanting and 410 tailoring, but I'm using all my enchanting mats to lvl both enchanting and tailoring.

I do know my guild leader is skinning and makes a shit ton selling his leather. Guess I'll just choose two that help out my class (almost typed job, still use to FFXI >.>), doesn't seem any combo really is better than the other. I just need a way to make money better, to help without absolutely needing to do dailies (cuz I hate questing) though I will because I want my traveler tundra mammoth.

You will want to do dailies because in WotLK they only take ~30-45 minutes to do between 6-10, if you have an epic flying mount

Without an ordinary flying mount it only adds about 15 total minutes to travel time between daily grinding spots. It's nowhere near as badly spread out as SSO dailies were in BC.

I liked doing ogri'la and skettis, in part because they were fairly logically grouped...SSO definitely wasn't efficient though, and netherwing was just a pain in general, I agree.

Seems there's still a few that are spread across kingdom come (the random wyrmrest and kalu'ak ones in BT) but most of em are in good logical groups, ya.

I still don't talk to anybody in game. I've had two retards playing night elf women come up to me and send me a tell saying I'm cute. I've also seen some absolutely retarded shout fighting in cities. Therefore I continue with my voluntary vow of silence in game. I talk to my guild and that's all. And even then I probably say three sentences in about five hours. After having been force fed by SE to party with people, I find it extremely satisfying to be able to do what I want all by myself. Sure some quests would be much more quick and easy if I grouped with people, but if I'm careful I'm usually able to accomplish my quests etc.

There have been a few quests that I will need to group together, like the few escort quests I've yet to finish. But I will most likely wait on those until my friend is on to help me. But at this point I could probably do a few of them on my own. I've also gone into a few of the lower leveled instances by myself just to play around. I've found a few of them by accident. Razorfen Kraul was pretty cool, at least the limited amount of area I actually explored in there.

The best part about the spread out rep dailies is that you don't need to do them for long. If you go from Fjord <-> Tundra, then do the Kalu'ak quests in Dragonblight you should be pretty much revered by the time you hit 75. At which point the dailies for said faction will still yield both experience and reputation simultaneously, if you're serious about grinding out the pretty decent chestpieces they have to offer at Revered.

Wyrmrest defense daily is godawful but you really only have to do that one for the achievement. Championing rules.

Honestly the hardest rep to earn in the game isn't worth it right now (Frostborn) as there is no announced plan for adding rep items, and there isn't any parity with the Horde equivalent so odds are we won't see rep items added until a slew of new dailies are also added.

Every other WotLK faction with dailies is a joke to earn, especially if you're a veteran of grinding out pre-BC factions. Even getting exalted with both Oracles/Frenzyheart isn't terribly out of the question. It'll take a month, max. Less if you happen to be human.

You may want to wait a bit on swapping, though. Once I hit Exalted with Oracles, I just keep getting eggs and hoping for the green protodrake.

The pets selling for about 200G each isn't a bad return on the investment, though.

Skinning/Mining actually is a rather nice combo. The bonus crit and HP isn't huge, but having a pair of gathering skills as you level up is a nice source of income. And who doesn't want that when you need 5K in gold for epic flight training?

Well I started with Frenzyheart. I still haven't swapped to Oracles mostly out of laziness + capping rep elsewhere burned me out on the grind.

Yeah, it honestly is really hard to find a friendly, knowledgable, mature group of people in WoW, unless you play with a group of people you know IRL, I've been in the same guild since I've started the game (about a year), and I dont even like them really, theyre generally immature, racist, and unfriendly, just a way to get easy groups for raids and what not. And since I was the first high lvl mage in the guild pretty much all gear went to me (only reason I stayed in afformentioned guild) o.o;; WoW has alot of immature players compared to most MMORPGS it seems due to the general age friendly-ness of the game (but I still love the game). Once youre 80 and in a good guild without needing to do PUGs "Pick Up Groups", you can just leave General and Trade chat >.>. On that note though, it could be in your interest to keep trying to find guilds that fit your age-range, some guilds specifically will say "no one under the age of XX years old". Or once youre more experience make your own guild, which I might be doing soon since I play with about 5 IRL friends, my GF, and some friends from FFXI, and am finally figuring out how each class works, and getting decent at my own class. Usually in 25 man raids I was the #1-3 DPS even though my gear was awful. Only 3 pieces of T5-6. In all honesty a guild really isnt NEEDED until you hit 80, though having people to run you through instances and help you quest is nice every now and then.

And to Kyreth, thanks for the tip.

Did anyone else get accidentally aligned to the Frenzyheart tribe? Somehow I did a quest and it didnt warn me I'd get aligned to them (like with scryers and aldor, it would warn you with a popup that it would give you rep towards a faction). I'm really annoyed I need to do frenzyheart quests just to switch over now >.> oh well at least you start off honored after switching factions.

Yeah I've been kind of shocked at some of the retarded shout fights going on. But the same could also be said for FFXI and any other MMORPG. But like I said earlier, after having been force fed the idea of partying with people, I'm really enjoying doing things solo. I even tried a battlefield yesterday for the first time. Did the Warsong Gulch one. I'm only level 31 so I of course got my ass beat. But it was still pretty fun to screw around with. Ended up with 1 kill and 7 deaths.

PvP gets better at 70. From 1-50 it's just a bunch of juiced-up twinks one-shotting each other and trash talking.

PVP is one of the best things about WoW honestly. I use to do it everyday for about a month straight, enough so to snag all the Season gear (which is what the S in S2-S3-S4, stands for). You really will a great time doing it. PVE is something i just got into a couple weeks before WoTLK came out and its also fun but can be frustrating with PuGs being the new norm of completing instances. But yeah WoW is very solo friendly and I pretty much never had a group (other than group quests obviously), which was definitely a nice break from FFXI.

And twinking is ridiculuos ._. I was told they were killing twinking by adding EXP to battleground? true/false? I kinda want to make a 29-39 twink just to mess around with lol

go mining/enchanting. you can level enchanting slowly from dissenchanting stuff and you'll make a ton of money DEing quest rewards you'd otherwise vender. especially if you have a higher level friend to run you through instances it'll be a cash cow and you'll get all the mats you need to level up so won't cost much. The benefits at higher levels are great too.

You can do 10 dailies in outland (not the Q-blabla island) in about 1hrs. That's how I used to do it before going to school every day before wotlk :D

Indeed, wow is no so socialize compared to FF11, since you don't need a guild for raiding. Even now the guild is mostly for aiming on raid achievement, maybe for malygos raid and speed run.

I remember that time when I begin to play WoW, only the friends from FF11 are on my friendlist lol

You used to need guilds for raiding, and you had to rely on others for any kind of huge accomplishments. Enough people cry, and the game becomes a pussy fest when it comes to raiding. Blizzard listens to their customers too much. :\
