You lose 10 or more ACC on your fucking neck slot, that's what.

Since we've gone into retarded theory land already, have you tried matching the damage done to PW with his lamps? Like having a few people on each lamp and PW so they all die about at the same time?
I'm assuming the groups are zerging the lamps one by one and then moving onto PW in each phase which is why I'm suggesting this.
those of you that suggest doing ANYTHING with final lamps...
those things are fucking beasts and are EXTREMELY difficult to do anything on, nonetheless testing. those things are no fucking joke
See the problem with your theory is its random and based on nothing.
Mine is actually based off of something, following patterns of se in past games and their enjoyment of referencing from real mythology.
On another not,e they take quus too? I was told it was just veydal wrasse. I think the apkulla thing was just either A. one of SEs several easter eggs or B. the apkulla might act like charmed pet and attack mobs or something...
Speakign of easter eggs, did you know theres a cat eared hood on display in baren morens hat shop? Interesting tid bit for you =P
Maybe not the final lamps, but maybe killing them off all together with PW at the same time for the other forms might lead to reaching the final form faster?
Is there a certain consistent amount of forms he goes through before he reaches the final form with these past few attempts? (Say five or six?) SE probably set a max amount of forms you can go through within the two hours allotted. If we figure out their original gimmick (which is probably still in place only to a lesser degree) it may lead to increased time actually fighting the last form.
Obviously this means you can charm the lamps and turn them against PW.Originally Posted by urat

I think SE designed PW with a gimmick as well, quite similarly to AV, but did it in such a way that you could either use brute force or the gimmick to win.
Obviously, most people have been sticking to brute force because theres less to figure out and at this point we dont have anything to start with on testing the gimmick. It becomes even harder since PW trigs are like 10% off 3 different mobs and theres a 2 hr limit.
I still think not enough testing has been done with killing the main boss with lamps up. Although the very first PW did do this and resulted in a respawn. This has not been repeated to what I recall and the number of lamps still up when the boss dies might have significance..
Spoiler: show
I think SE just likes their annoying bosses, see Penance in FFX and Yiazmat in FFXII
Oh ok didnt see that part....
Hmm interesting, but I doubt that. Would be cool though and is worth a shot I suppose.
I myself think that if the bris does anything it would most likely make you immune to stunga, and allow you to attack the main form for a few seconds betwen other forms, giving you a head start on the last form or such.
Ummm... Dvergr (main form) uses hellsnap (stunga) right when he pops, switches to other form, right?
So if you could avoid the stunga via something, cause I'm coming up with about 75% chance that if there is something implimented to make this fight easier, it will result in avoiding the hellsnap move.
Anywho, if you could avoid hellsnap, there's a few second window then to deal damage to dvergr before he switches, correct?
After 6-8 forms or so, you've probably knocked off a notable chunk of his hp.
Especially if when you hit him, it was with things like smn/rng 2 hours...
I've read in couple other spots theres a good 5-10 second window between forms, but everyone is stunned during it... no?
just stop posting
Let's ask SE to actually make pop items 100% so people can debunk the nonsense...
