We're having a crappy time trying to get our last Askar hands. I have a runic key but we all just want to get this last pair of hands done so we can move on to bodies. We've had more luck with goliard than anything else, Denali has been middle of the road and askar rare.

We had a lot of Goliard legs (like 10) and hands (8 ), but only 3 bodies in 18 months. I think we got around 10 Askar and maybe 6 Denali bodies in that time. Coversely, we only got 2 Askar legs, pretty much every 40 drop was Goliard or occasional Denali.

The random loot generator in Nyzul Isle seems pretty busted and I sincerely doubt that it's actually random. I get the feeling it's weighted by some factor to do with the party members but I'm not sure what it is (jobs leveled to 75?).

Except we don't have one. Nor do we have anyone even close. So far hasn't been too bad, but recently our hands drought is driving us nuts.

Yes, this is good advice. We started without a THF and our droprate was awful, then an LS mate with TH4 started coming along and it got a lot better.

We love our THF, my static's only been going since the runic key patch this past autumn and when we farm bosses we generally get a 1/3 drop rate on gear. We only do 3 runs a week and spent first month and a half climbing everyone f1-100 but there's not been a boss farming week yet that we wouldn't had been rewarded with 1 item and some weeks 2. The lame distribution of loot is a whole other issue though, still not seen any Askar bodies or boots/gloves of any description whatsoever. I don't believe in any of the superstitions that the gear for jobs that most peeps have leveled drops most or we'd be showered in Denali as 5/6 of our static members have a Denali job at 75. Instead we've seen 1 ever Denali piece (the body) and that's it. However, we've gotten 3 Goliard bodies and hats in the short time we've been going so none of us with mage jobs leveled can complain. Couple of Askar Zucchettos as well and some pants.

We've also gotten 73 weapons since we started and out of those there's only ever been one of each for DRG, SCH and PUP (and I had to go as PUP for a f100 run to get it orz). Rest have been fairly evenly distributed, WAR being the #1 but that's skewed as the peep who usually takes us to f100 is a WAR.

Trust me I would love to but we have a really good static and have stuck together so far, not sure whether anyone is prepared to go level another job just for this one event. Everyone already has a bunch of jobs

Not an option and as much as I'd love to agree with you, last night we went 3/3 on drops from Boss runs. 2 hats and some hands.

I know what you're saying but you have to recognise some people have friends who aren't just going to drop them because they inconveniantly don't have the right jobs. We're down to a few pieces we need now, and they've all put one hell of a lot of work in. I think your attitude is unrealistic and fairly callous.

Speaking of Saio, just got it last night. THF makes a noticible difference in the end it seems XD

That was for f100s before the patch where you could start repeating f100s without having your Runic Key wiped. Previously if you wiped your Runic key you got a hat 100%.

In my experience, every group has 1 piece they see every single drop and the day you give up on going for your piece it will drop solo lot to somebody else.

Also Treasure Hunter+1000 for people who have never done Nyzul Isle before and do not know how to avoid aggro or play there job!

Drop rate really is horrible. My group goes with TH4 everytime and 8/10 times we do not get a single armour drop. Bawwww, etc.

My nyzul static had rather decent luck getting Goliard to drop until we went to floor 60 a 'second time' as we took a break from it to do 40 and not see Cerb, etc., where we've yet to see it drop since the first floor 60 NM we did (which also was literally right at the "end of time" mark, so no time for anyone to lot). Askar hands drop like candy for us, easy. None of us need it, and I even have it and I don't have an askar job leveled even close to 75 >.>

1/21 on my Denali Body. Askar drops like Candy.

Our 2nd body was a Goliard, though. That's the only one since.

Of all the farming floors I've ever done, I've only seen Goliard drop once, which was on lv 100
