No, his response was just a response. Nothing useful came out of it. If you read the OP, it was clearly stated that 14 of the theoretical 18 were people new to the game. People new to the game obviously aren't going to know what they're doing the first time.
What first made me think of this situation is all the reading of BG about how easy and predictable this game can be. I then thought it would be neat for SE to create a BC that had any number of random enemies in it, but you'd never know until you got in there. Maybe it's a Chigoe, maybe it's a Wyrm, maybe it's a Crab, who cares. The point is that you'd have to go in and not be prepared for a specific enemy, and that's what made me think of the OP. So, you'd go in with a setup that's likely to win anything, whether it's a Chigoe NM, Crab NM, or Wyrm NM. This is what I want this alliance to be; a group that can win anything with little or minimal changes.
