As for me, I would've meritted max Enmity Down, but on those random occasions where I need to kill Charby on NIN I'll need it. This is like once every 9 months though, so I just might do it one of these days...

Personally I did crit up and enemy crit down. Enmity feels too job specific while the crit category can only help you in a lot of different situations. If you have your heart set on doing one job class or another than sure enmity can make sense. But for what I do I rather fill in enmity with gear rather than through merits.

4/4 ENM+, 75 PLD/WAR/THF/RDM, the way I see it when I'm on RDM, I shouldn't be pulling hate regardless, when I'm on WAR a good DD should be pulling hate regardless of how good the tank is due to enmity caps, PLD it just helps and for THF it helps with TA.

I didn't touch it either way. MNK is my main and if I want more enmity on it, I'll do what I normally do. Same for my RNG.

Ironically, the only job I have that can't hold hate is PLD. I've been tempted to put in Enmity+ for it, but I don't play the job enough to really care. (Yes, I suck at PLD. =( Please to not make fun of me.)

I merited +4 enmity even tho my other job is WHM. But as mentioned before -enmity things are easy to come by and usually cheap.

For a tank I see every bit of +enmity worth it unless it rivals Haste or something else important. You can cap your CE easily, but you lose a good junk of VE every minute. The enmity merits help to keep your VE up and net you "Enmity Profit" over the loss.

Since I have mages, tank, "occasionally tank" and DD jobs, I'm not touching enmity merits.

Reason why enmity+ is so overhyped is because 90% of the game rotates around PLD at this time (but objectively, 90% of the game needs a tank no matter what).

I just merit what I find most helpful to my own needs, and whoring hate on a single job while crippling my other 9 ones, even marginally, is not one of them.

I did +4 Enmity since i play PLD more than anything else, my MNK gets a good use out of Enmity merits too for Salvage and such, I also have NIN at 75 but now i hardly ever use it. Only problem is that I have BLM and RDM levelled, RDM it isn't really noticeable but it can be fun on BLM sometimes lol

Of my 3 jobs, SCH is the only one I'd never want hate on, but that isn't enough to screw over my tanking prospects on the other 2, even slightly.

Enmity+4 here, and all I have is rdm/blm/drk/nin. I originally did it for NIN thinking i'd actually tank on it (lol), but I don't, and haven't bothered erasing the merits. I like having a little hate advantage over other people I may play with because I'd simply rather have hate than them.

As Sam Blu Drg Mnk I want hate at times but don't want it other times didn't so messing with enmity seemed bad idea thus I did 4/4 +crit% and 4/4 -enemy crit%.

I sometimes think that my character has hidden enmity merits (shes a bad ass kitty) so from the other category I originally did Crit. % hit Up +4 and Spell Interrupt Down % +4 but recently dropped 1 spell interrupt and added it to enmity since I was taking NIN up as my 2nd main (my first by Thief) so both my main jobs couldn't hurt to have a little extra enmity.

Funny enough I removed that one spell interupt down merit cause I was really convinced that SE nerfed the percentage that you actually don't get interrupted but then yesterday I cast Utsu Ichi through 2 hits and a Pecking Flurry... Go figure right lol.
