Enmity +4 for my BLM![]()
Enmity 4/4 for NIN.
No, I merited spell interrupt down FTL.
I won't ever touch enmity merits... on one side I've got WHM/BLM/RDM (which doesn't tank) and on the other I've got DD's and NIN/PLD.
Enmity+4 on MNK/SAM/NIN
I like to tank on MNK and SAM while swapping TP/WS set and -% dmg gears, it lets other gimp DD's do their stuff without stressing out the healers. (this is assault/nyzul/meritpo/salvage scenarios)
NIN, I stop using it now even tho I like the job, gogo PLD's
In my viewpoint, there are 2 ways to melee:
Aggressive and Defensive
Aggressive = DD's with impressive gear/capped merits will more likely pull hate very often, even moreso with a relic. If they play smart, they will go all out and swap def+ gear at times when 3rd eye or utsusemi is down. Using JA's right as they are up again.
If you read rukenshin/richards LJ's, you already have a sense of this gameplay. I know they both inspired me.
Defensive = I notice almost all JP's play things this way, keeping things controlled. Pretty much "playing it safe" reducing unneeded mp sponge situations. It's specifically useful in scenarios where you are lowmanning NM's and such. Needless to say this isn't recommended for meritpos. I do run into RDM's who want melees to sub /nin or to hold back, when you run into those, you can tell they've gotten accustomed to this.
Either way, I've never been in a scenario where I didn't want hate and died because of enmity+ merits. It's fun to tank on mnk especially in salvage with hades/usukane feet/cerb cape/merits (+20 enmity in TP gear)
Also I like to tank a dynamis MNK using hundred fists on my SAM and get away with it.
To each his own.
+4 PLD SAM DRK THF
Oh my WHM Alt full -enmity, on my main going with spell interrupt down. I can hold hate just fine in most situations without getting facefucked.
Enmity+ because I am still and probably always will be completely nuts about my PLD! <333
left them the hell alone
bst, cor and upcoming rdm, no extra enmity wanted
war, nin, sure i could use it, but whatever.
crit vs enemy 4/4 , enemy crit vs you 4/4 (god I hate being crited by monsters with a passion)
is the only way I'd go at this point, use to have some -enmity merits back when I was whm and rdm only.
Erased them when I started leveling NIN, have never thought to re-add them
+4 NIN WAR MNK
I finished +4 Enmity and +5 STR before I took WAR and MNK to 75. It made for some ... interesting parties.
PLD is my fave job and I like war ok too. ENM? Fuck no, I like not getting hit when playing my mage jobs.
Merited 4/4 -enmity because of my last shell, had a -enmity setup for my bard. I'm not touching it either because I do like having the -enmity for all my jobs and I'm never leveling a tanking job.
4/4 full time relic pld
4/4 Enmity + for my PLD,SAM,NIN,RDM but I'm leveling BLM which I can see myself playing a fair amount, so I'm wondering whether or not it'll be worth switching to 0 Enmity merits or even plunging into the -. What do you think?
4/4 Enmity + for PLD, and I guess its not bad on RDM
2 Enmity+
2 Enmity-
Haven't touched it. I would because in all honesty it makes sense with my jobs but I've always wanted to level PLD... and I have a ridiculous amount of -EMN gear for both my WHM and my SCH.
i've always wanted to ask this; for those who merited spell interruption rate-%, think its worth it? i mean, if you put merits into something like that then obvious its because you didnt want to fuck with enmity and didnt have anything else to invest in, but do you even notice the difference?
i always thought it'd be worthless and crit/enemy crit would be the best way to go if you wanted to avoid touching enmity due to multiple jobs
