Pot smells. Not as bad as cigarettes, but it won't be any less intrusive.
Potheads smell even worse.

this, unless the person is a stupid herb smoker (a lot are) then i don''t see anything wrong w/ smoking herb... so who cares that u smoke in public, just don't blame ur smoking habits on the reason you fail and we r all good... cause smoking doesn't make u fail, it just enhances the fail inside of "some" ppl who try to smoke 24/7
So you're saying that since a small segment of the population may have a condition that will make second hand smoke harmful, (Do keep in mind there is not any true scientific evidence to prove that second hand is harmful to a healthy human being, although quite a few slanted studies have been found, mainly the EPA's which announced its results prior to completing its study, a big no no when it comes to experiments. Several other studies have found them the risks of the smoke to be overstated, but again these could also be skewed, it'd be nice if we could get investigations done without any sort of third party intervention via funding, but I digress...) that we should say no one should be allowed to do it? Well then I guess we should ban laser light shows, since they might cause epileptics to have seizures! If people are bothered by smokers in bars, then why doesn't some business minded fuck open bars where people aren't allowed to smoke, and make some cash? Or conversely let there be a permit to allow people to smoke in certain other bars? Don't wanna be around smoke? You're free to go to a different bar, you'll probably have fun talking to every other high horsed fuck who hate people for something negligible like smoking.
I love the way weed smells. Growing it is a pain in the ass unless you're just growing for yourself. It can be fun IF you have the right stuff for it. But FRESH, just trimmed, slightly damp weed makes my mouth water.
BUT NO ONE LIKES SLIGHTLY DAMP WEED. Dry that shit out you newbie fucks ARGH!
Funny thing is, if you have a closet / basement / pantry / wtf ever, you can grow some decent stuff. You just need the equipment for it. You'll make back your money on the gear you bought in a very small time frame if you don't fuck your plants up.
Maybe, but nobody who currently buys weed will forget their old hookups and begin buying from overpriced "big cannabis" companies. The people who grew it before will continue to grow it and sell it as usual, and they'd have no particular reason to raise the price. They'd probably lower it, due to less legal risk.
Those people are in Mexico and their weed is shit.
The kind of shit that would be 5 bucks for a pack of 20 joints if it was legal.
The good shit has severe limits on scale, and would become much more readily available, through "coffee shops" or whatever the hell you want to call it that are basically pot shops with the pot version of liquor stores built in.
Yeah, it would be pretty cool to see a bigger variety of weed become available to those who can't find it or afford it. I'd laugh if weed became legal but selling it independently was still illegal though, which I kinda see happening.
"You must have a license to sell marijuana!"
lolz.. lots of kids would be owning their own businesses I bet.
It's been a while since someone tried to cram so many words into my mouth. Put down that cock you were sucking and read again. Where there is a specific ban in place and yet people light up anyway is where I have a problem with smokers, weed or tobacco. Fuck those guys.
I'm sorry, this hairy scrotum in my face is obscuring where you proved your rights were more important than mine.
But if they smell pot, that's now probable cause, and they can search anything around you under that pretense that you could have a criminal amount on you. At which point they search, cite, and confiscate your shit, while putting on your record that you were non-cooperative. Which will then follow you with ANY citation you get down the road and try to appeal in court.
So yes, you can refuse to give ID, and spend the next 8 hours sitting around while they search your shit, OR, you can give them id, and they give you a ticket, and take away your shit, and you go buy more an hour later.
Sort of a late reply, but salvia is illegal in some places in the US?
You can buy it in random "accessory" places up here. (ie: 2 Guys With Pipes and other stores along the same lines.)
For awhile they even had ads on the radio saying "We have salvia available for purchase now!" etc I dunno if it's AS promoted now, but they still have it.
treat it the same as cig smoke (designated spaces, not around children, etc)
pot should not be illegal, and the smell of pot is so good and 100x better in amsterdam
The Legal Status of Salvia divinorum
*shrug* I haven't tried it, but the same friend I mentioned before did. He said you start hallucinating immediately, but it wears off in five minutes and thus it sucks. No reason to outlaw it really. The United States
Louisiana, Missouri, Tennessee, Oklahoma, Delaware, Maine, North Dakota, Illinois, Kansas, Virginia, Florida, and Mississippi are the only states in the USA that currently have state-wide laws prohibiting possession of Salvia divinorum. The state of Maine only prohibits possession by minors. Possession remains legal for adults in Maine; however, it is illegal for adults to sell or transfer Salvia divinorum to anyone under 18 years of age. A similar law, prohibiting sales of Salvia divinorum to minors, will go into effect in California on January 1, 2009. Louisiana and Tennessee have provisions in their laws that allow possession of the plant when it is not intended for human consumption. In Oklahoma, plain Salvia divinorum is legal, but extract-enhanced leaves are not (however, a new law goes into effect in Oklahoma on November 1, 2008, which will make all forms of Salvia divinorum illegal).A local law prohibits possession and sale of Salvia divinorum in Suffolk County, New York. A city ordinance, enacted in April 2008, prohibits the sale of Salvia divinorum in the town of West Bridgewater, Massachusetts. To the best of my knowledge, Salvia divinorum is entirely legal in all other states. However, law makers in several other states are currently considering legislative bills that seek to ban Salvia divinorum in those states (see below). Most proposed bills have not been made into law, with motions having been voted down in committee, failed, died, or otherwise stalled.
I for one can't stand to be around anyone who is high. If that was ever legalized where I'm from I honestly would move away.
I'm sure you'd be missed so much it would made illegal again.
I for one can't stand to be around anyone who is close-minded. If that was ever encouraged where I'm from I honestly would move away.
