Assault items back into AP

After having a discussion with a lsmate (and doing some mog house cleaning) the following idea came to me.

Given that personal storage space is precious, please allow players to trade rare/ex gear obtained from points (Assault Points, Conquest points, Imperial Standing, etc.) back in to a NPC to reclaim some or all of the points used to purchase the item.

You can store Assault armor, don't see the huge demand in assault weapons. You can always just toss the shit and get it at a later time again for the same points.

All this would do is give people less incentives to do these things, because they can always get their points back, and if they aren't acquiring the points, they aren't loggin in, and if they ain't loggin in square isn't making money!

Personally I don't see a huge strain in my inventory because of CP/GP/AP/IS/CM Items.

But that's just me.

Well its the side/upgrade issue really. Some of the items from assault/cp/is are nice but many have better versions. And when such a case comes up that you obsolete a piece of gear from said upgrade (esp if its a salvage pieces replacing a assault piece) being able to reclaim even 50% of the points back to afford more permits would be nice.

Not expecting a 100% return but non-zero is better then /toss.

Would also completely screw up demand for (and the price of) salable AP/IS items, since then you could buy a cheap AP item from the AH, return it for points, and get something else for those points, allowing you to get Yigit, Pahluwan, and Amir without ever doing Assaults.

I'd love to be able to use Nyzul tokens for AP gear, not planning to upgrade a mythic and our static is done with the event pretty much. I spent the last two months of the static using my tokens for farming 7 runs per week on 0-100 and I still have >80,000 tokens left over sitting around doing nothing.

This and add Amir body to the list that I stupidly got for my DRG town/idle gear because Assault Jerkin is so motherfucking ugly and it was before I had Homam. Tossing 40k worth of AP would feel a bit bad so they've been stuck on my mannequin for well over a year now.

I would rather be able to do this with the SMN items. I already threw out my Water ring, and I really don't use my ice ring/ifrit's blade anymore.

I have the same kind of thing, like 10 or 11 Limbus items that just autodropped to me over a 6-8 month period. I can't bring myself to toss them and they just take up space.

I note that my second BRD Apollyon item never dropped in amongst that big pile of stuff. Damn you SE *shakes fist*.

PS yes I would also like to get rid of my Garuda's dagger that I used for skillups way back when. It is also sitting in MH taking up space for no good reason.

those AP items are there to make you waste them so you will carry on doing assaults for AP if you need them bad........
