That you even respond with this shows that you misunderstood the part of my post where I'm trying to put into context the comparisons between endgame tanks, and that you completely overlooked the part where I do make the comparison showing what I see as being BLU's strengths and weaknesses compared to the other popular tanking jobs.
You asked someone with BLU endgame tanking experience to illustrate what can make it more worthwhile than other tanking jobs, and that's exactly what I tried to do, so please go back and re-read it. Nobody is disputing that PLD is the best endgame tank, and while the difference between a PLD vs. a NIN or a RDM (or a BLU) is relatively small, some people/LSs refuse to consider anything but PLD for that reason. That's fine for them, I already gave my opinion about that mentality. But the minute you start invoking NIN tanks or RDM tanks (as you have in your last two posts) you might as well talk about BLU, too, since it's the same thing--"not as good as PLD, sure, but good enough to tank just about anything."
Ask yourself why you consider NIN or RDM to be an acceptable tank. It's because you saw someone do it, or you read a blog about someone doing it, or you tried it yourself. Obviously you haven't had the same experience with BLU, but then why are you arguing here?
And just so there's no ambiguity, I'm not talking about something like your Hakutaku fight where a bunch of WHMs spam cured you. And I'm not talking about the niche "tankish" things that people commonly think about BLUs, like eating Citidel Busters or crowd control. I'm talking about BLU/NIN taking a spot in a tank PT against HNM, and for that it's more than a perfectly acceptable job, even if it's not widely accepted.
