One shot it, sure. It's nearly one shotting it, where it has just enough HP for just long enough with HF up to be an annoyance.

Between the normal and ranged attacks of Ranger mobs, in addition to AOE from Battle Dance or Sweep, can strip shadows. Come on. No one shadows perfectly all the time, especially after the 90 minute or 2 hour mark in Dynamis. People miss-count, or lose count. On paper, /nins should be never hit by this.. but it does in fact happen occasionally.

Against 90% of the mobs, of course not. The main reason you'd want a proper tank is for the Monks, where they can't do much vs Sentinel and Reprisal. The thing is, there are a few waves of monks, and they can decide to HF nearly from the get go, before melees really have chance to really build TP.

On Topic...Plasma Charge, as was mentioned, there's an interesting way to deal with it, although it does chew up a bit of time to cast, and doesn't generate much hate.

So grav->t4->sleep while dealing with the rest of the pull so it sleeps off hundred fists, like I said.

If you see sweep or battle dance, someone can stun or weapon/blade bash. Not too complicated(and not a bad habit for nonrngs, saves damage from melee swings too).

Oh, okay. Just have your PLDs change job to a proper damage dealer between pulls.

Thundaga3->sleepga timed, wait 45 seconds, clear them once all HFs are off.

We don't ever bring plds to dynamis either. I do all our pulls on RDM/NIN and I usually trigger HF on my own and just sleep it. Really no reason for melee to be in danger from a HF.

We always pick out the incoming mnk. The second I see the 2hr animation I'll Actinic Burst > Plasma Charge. It'll be up by the time flash wears off to prevent it from getting out of hand. I typically save Diffusion > Exuviation for big groups or mobs I want to keep on me to make sure they'll stick on me as well. All of our AoE hate spells make holding a whole pull a piece of cake.

On a side note, you can switch to all -pdt gear if hate is established and i can get the damage down to the 70's with phalanx II. mnk mobs hurt when you're going all out DD (like you should on everything else). But if you're willing to 'turtle up' for just them, it shouldnt be an issue.
